Ravine #1
Either it’s your first tee shot of the day or the start of your back nine holes. Hole number 1 on the Ravine can be a challenge for all. Your tee shot must be accurate; you face a narrow fairway while you overlook the Intracoastal Waterway to the right. A bunker is placed strategically on the right hand side of the fairway. The left side of the hole is open with just a few trees that line the first and second hole. The ideal tee shot is to aim at the cart path along the left hand side and allow for a gentle fade. The approach is nothing to bypass, by missing to the right you’ll end of fishing for your golf ball in the Intracoastal Waterway. Going long of the green makes for a very difficult chip as the green is heavily sloped from back to front. The challenge continues once you approach the small undulating putting surface. The average length par four can be a challenge for many of the golfers, however can reward those who place their drive in the fairway and allow for a mid to short iron approach shot.
