Yesterday was a heartfelt day with LOTS of tears flowing as we did not say goodbye but hopefully more of a “see you later” to our incredibly talented #3, Kate Rapp. Kate made the extremely difficult and mature decision to take a step away from softball. We know this was not an easy decision and we although we are so sad to not share the field with her in the near future,we are so proud of her for all of the hard work and time she’s put in over the last few years and to make this decision. It truly shows how remarkable of a young woman she truly is. Kate is living proof that hard work works. Over the last few years she has worked both on and off the field, always asked for feedback on what she can do to improve and has always listened and executed what she’s been told. Kate ventured into learning how to slap and mastered it, she increased her speed on the bases and was an asset to our team at 2nd base and right field. She is an outstanding teammate, always smiling, always uplifting and just a joy to be around. Kate, if you ever change your mind and decide to want to play again, we will always be your softball family and home. Until then, we wish you nothing but the absolute best and an abundance of success in everything you decide to do.
