I am beyond proud to share that Island Jiu-Jitsu Michigan  took 1st place in Kids, Adult, Gi, and Overall Team at this weekend’s NAGA Jiu-Jitsu tournament . But more important than the medals is what these wins represent.
Ranging from our youngest students to maybe a first timer new to the sport all the way to our seasoned adults, everyone stepped onto the mats with heart, discipline, and grit. The level of sportsmanship, support, and jiu-jitsu  on display made this even more meaningful. Teammates coaching each other, competitors showing respect to opponents, and families come to cheer everyone on. This is what our community is all about.
Thank you to all of our Island Jiu-Jitsu Ohana for all of the continued support. From the extra trainings, BBQs, and just going above and beyond just know we appreciate all that you do! 
Proud is an understatement. This team, this culture, this community — that’s the real championship.
On to the next one. 💪

Tonight, we’re beyond proud of Coach Carmel as he steps onto the mats in Chicago for his Fight 2 Win debut. The dedication, discipline, and heart it has taken to reach this moment doesn’t go unnoticed—it’s been earned every single day through hard work, perseverance and grit!

No matter the outcome, we are proud of you but let’s get this Dub! Go out there, trust your training, and give it everything you’ve got. IJJ is behind you and cheering you on!
