What happens when a fight hits the ground?
Most people imagine self-defense happening on their feet—but real altercations don’t always stay there.
That’s why groundwork matters.
When you’re on the ground, the goal isn’t to “win” a grappling match. It’s to protect yourself, manage the immediate threat, create space, and get back to your feet as quickly and safely as possible.
Training from uncomfortable positions also teaches something you can’t learn by simply memorizing techniques: how to think and respond while under pressure.
Self-defense isn’t about being comfortable. It’s about being prepared for the moment when you’re not. 🥊
