🐴🌾 Hay Day at High Lonesome! 🌾🐴

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out and helped us with hay today! From loading and unloading to stacking and getting everything where it needed to go, we couldn’t have done it without all of you. 💚

It truly takes a village to keep our barn running, and we are so incredibly grateful for our amazing volunteers, supporters, and friends who are always willing to lend a hand.

Our horses are stocked up and happy, and we are ready for another season! 🐴❤️

One of our Independent Trot athletes had his final lesson before competing next week!

So much of riding is about creating a bond and learning to communicate with your horse. Chase has got it! Subtle communication takes time, patience, trust, and dedication—and these two have put in the work. 🐴💕

Now it’s time to take everything they’ve learned together into the arena. We are so proud of Chase and his horse Jessi! Can’t wait to watch them compete next week! 🏅🐴

🐴🏅 Behind the scenes of Special Olympics! 🏅🐴

Our Special Olympics Coach and PATH Intl. Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor in Training, Ariane L. Reeves, is making sure our equine partner Harper is ready to go for next week’s games!

There is so much that happens behind the scenes—cleaning horses, cleaning tack, organizing, packing, and figuring out all the logistics of getting our horses and riders where they need to be. ❤️

We also make sure our equine partners stay active, limber, comfortable, and ready for their job. Their care and well-being always come first! 🐴💕

It takes a whole team to get ready for the games, and we are so grateful for everyone who helps make it happen!

We truly have an amazing community that continues to support our riders and horses in so many ways. We are incredibly grateful for everyone who came out, donated, purchased raffle tickets, volunteered, and helped make the evening a success! 🐴💕

🐴🏅 ONE MORE WEEK! 🏅🐴

One more week until we load up and head to the Special Olympics Equestrian Games! 🎉

All 14 of our athletes who are heading to the games have worked incredibly hard to meet their goals, build their skills, and prepare for this opportunity. We couldn’t be more proud of the dedication, determination, and courage they have shown along the way. ❤️

Now it’s time to put all that hard work into action, cheer each other on, and make some amazing memories!

🇺🇸🐴 A Wonderful First Lesson! 🐴🇺🇸

We had a wonderful first lesson with our veteran, Faith! Thank you, Faith, for your service and for spending the afternoon with us. ❤️

I think we all needed a calm and peaceful afternoon in the sunshine. ☀️ We spent some time observing the herd, learning horse language, and getting to know the horses.

The horses certainly enjoyed their gentle, relaxing session—and so did we! There’s something pretty special about slowing down, spending time with the horses, and simply enjoying the peacefulness of the barn. 🐴💚

We’re looking forward to the weeks ahead and all the horsemanship skills and experiences to come!
