Every writer like me, had someone to inspire them to become a writer. That person for me was Anne Rice. I have just made a trip to NOLA to visit her grave. This was a very special moment for me.
In an interview she gave years ago before her death she gave me some advice I have never forgotten. She said, “Find your voice and write your books the way you want it. Don’t follow the rules. And I did! I have written an entire southern vampire book series called Dancin with da Dead.
