Are we dancing on Tuesday? Why yes we are! And you can join us too at our weekly Guided Swing Dance Party.

If you don't see yourself as a coordinated person, there's no need to worry. Our Tuesdays are designed to get you dancing with the sidewalk travelling experience you came in with. Dancing gets better with practice, so if you're having fun and coming back, you'll see self-improvement day-to-day.

Even if you're not as perfect as you want to be, you'll still get high-fives, feel wins big and small, and leave with more ability than you came in with. Our no-stress nights are casual, fun, and full of friendly people. The hardest part about learning to dance is just getting yourself there he first time.

The Mon County Fair Parade steps onto High Street at 6pm. It should be all wrapped up by the time our Guided Swing Dance Party begins at 7pm.

“We hold community swing dance lessons every Tuesday. Just for the community. So it’s by donation, and our goal is to bring the community together, give them a place to just escape, and kind of foster, like, growth, and just having fun, really,” said Co-Organizer Alex McOsker.

New dancers, don't be intimidated by what you see on the floor. The first step is simply showing up to claim your joy.

📈 We didn't expect our post of us dancing in a bumper car pavilion to go viral so here's some backstory, the memories behind it, and a little bit of carousel appreciation...

⚡DC Lindy Exchange set the stage for another darn good event this year, and they delivered. The bands were top notch, the energy on the dance floor was electric, and it was great to connect with friends, old and new. This year we even got to dance INSIDE a Smithsonian museum!

🥳 What's a lindy exchange? It's a weekend where hundreds of dancers come together for a fantastic multi-band lineup and make new memories on the dance floor. You don't need to have any particular skill-level to have fun at these types of events, although it helps to know a few fundamental steps before you go. Some of the evening dances during the exchange even include an introductory swing dance lesson.

🌎 Because swing dance is a living art form and a vernacular language, you can use the steps you learn locally in Morgantown to swing dance anywhere in the world. And good news, there are plenty of opportunities to start swing dancing in Morgantown, just check the link in our bio!
