Saturday is available for anyone looking for an inshore/nearshore charter, it looks like this Nor’easter will have moved along by then. This is a great time of year for sight casting to schools of albies and trolling for big king mackerel and spanish mackerel along the beach. Send me a message if you want to claim the date!

Today we had a lone angler, who had specific instructions from his wife to “not bring home more fish than we’ll eat” 🤣 So we kept a few of the bigger Spanish we found and just enjoyed fishing for the rest of the time. Spanish Mackerel fishing is on fire right now, and the large king mackerel should make a good showing on the beach any time now!

The last weekend of this month is is still available, get in touch if you want to book a charter or want me to put together a walk-on trip for you!

Yesterday evening was too pretty to pass up so I went solo fishing. Spent the first hour or so looking for Spanish and they did not disappoint, I kept a few of the bigger ones for the freezer and tossed the rest back. Afterwards spent some time casting jigs to schools of feeding fish on the surface and caught a few bluerunners and albies to finish out the evening.

I have a handful of open days left in September, send me a message if you want the chance to get a few fish in the freezer before winter depression sets in!

Happy Boykin Spaniel Day to all the other Swamp Poodle’s out there! September 1st was declared “National Boykin Spaniel Day” by the governor of SC in 1984. Our mascot Peanut has spent the afternoon working on blind retrieves to celebrate.

No charter today so we just went fun fishing to find dinner. There is a really nice size class of Spanish mackerel outside and inside the inlet right now! September 6, 12 and 13 are available and I expect the fishing will only get better as water temps begin to cool over the next couple months. Send me a message to book a trip!
