One of our favorite parts of what we do is getting the opportunity to step outside the gym and support our athletes doing what they love.

Over the summer and start of the school year, our coaches have had the chance to catch so many of you competing on the court, track, and field. We love seeing familiar faces, cheering you on, and being a small part of the communities that support these athletes every day.

We had an incredible summer together, and it’s been even better getting to watch you take that hard work into your seasons.

Keep working hard, keep competing, and most importantly, keep having fun doing what you love. We’re proud to be in your corner!

This week’s goes to Meg R.!

Meg started training with us right after the spring track season and has continued to impress us every day since. Her consistency, work ethic, and attitude have been incredible.

Meg is one of those athletes you can’t help but be happy around. She brings so much positivity and encouragement into every session, pushes the athletes around her, and has truly made our gym a better place over the last few months.

At the same time, she has continued to put in the work and make huge strides as an athlete. That combination of working hard and making everyone around you better is something special.

Keep bringing the energy and motivating everyone around you, Meg! We can’t wait to watch you crush it on the basketball court and the track this year!

Why do we use Med Ball Throws?

Med ball throws are one of our favorite ways to train Power, producing as much force as possible, as quickly as possible.

Unlike traditional strength exercises where the athlete has to slow the weight down at the end of the movement, med ball throws allow athletes to accelerate all the way through the rep and put maximum intent into every throw.

We can also throw in different directions, forward, overhead, rotationally, and vertically, teaching athletes to produce and transfer force through their entire body in ways that translate to sprinting, jumping, throwing, hitting, and changing direction.

They’re explosive, versatile, and create very little fatigue, which makes them a great tool for athletes both in and out of season.

The goal isn’t just to get stronger. It’s to be able to use that strength FAST.

This week’s goes to the second half of our college crew!

Just like the group we highlighted a few weeks ago, these athletes absolutely crushed their summer of training. They attacked their workouts, pushed each other, hit PRs, and put in the work to head into their college seasons stronger, faster, and more prepared.

But what made this group especially valuable to our facility this summer was everything they did outside of their own training.

Whether it was helping coach a couple sessions each week, taking pictures for social media, putting together graphics, jumping in to help younger athletes during busy sessions, or simply being someone those younger athletes could watch and learn from — this group made a huge impact on our gym.

One of the coolest parts of having our college athletes back every summer is watching them go from being the younger athletes looking up to everyone else to becoming the ones setting the standard for the next group coming up.

Thank you to all of our college athletes for everything you brought to ETS this summer. We’re proud of the athletes and people you’ve become, and we can’t wait to follow along as you compete this year!

Just because we forgot to take a pic or it disappeared don’t think we for got about you Annie Hedlund Lila Gracie Sauvageau Ethan J. Larson Matthew Berg cullenwilson8 Aurek Zielinski Espen Bement Evan Benedict Drew Berneking ben Dalton Jones Brayden Kvamme Lucas Hernandez Carson Shiek So proud of all of you!

Go dominate this season, enjoy every second of it, and we’ll see you over breaks!

Why ETS?

This summer we had a phenomenal group of college interns that chose to take the time to help coach on top of training for their sports! Take a listen to why they chose ETS not just to work out but to coach and help build the next generation.

Many of our coaches and interns started here as athletes themselves. They experienced the training, the relationships, and the environment firsthand — and then chose to come back and help create that same experience for the next generation of athletes.

To us, that says a lot about what makes ETS special.

We want this to be more than a place athletes come to work out. We want it to be a place they enjoy being, where they’re challenged to get better, surrounded by people who support them, and hopefully one they want to stay connected to long after their playing days.

Different ages. Different schools. Different sports. Same energy.

One of the best parts of our gym is watching athletes support and push each other, regardless of who they play for or how old they are.

Training alongside older athletes gives our younger athletes people to look up to and a standard to chase. At the same time, it gives our older athletes an opportunity to lead, encourage, and set the example for the athletes coming up behind them.

That’s what makes a great training environment. Everyone wants to get better, and everyone wants to see the people around them get better too.

Shoutout to our Moorhead football guys for bringing the energy and getting behind Carsen while he repped out Coach Jace’s curl challenge this summer.

Keep pushing each other. Keep bringing the energy. Keep making the people around you better.

This week’s goes to Abigail S. and Carly R.!

These two, along with the rest of our Northern Cass girls, have absolutely crushed their summer of training and haven’t missed a beat heading into the school year.

The commitment they’ve shown has been outstanding. Early mornings, consistent training, and showing up ready to put in the work every single day.

This morning, one of them summed up exactly why that consistency matters:

“I feel so much better at practice when we come here in the morning.”
— Anonymous NC Volleyball Player

That might be one of my favorite quotes of the summer because it perfectly sums up what we want in-season training to do.

We can’t wait to watch Abigail, Carly, and the rest of the Northern Cass crew bring that same consistency and energy to the court this volleyball and basketball season!

Keep working hard and go dominate this year!

This week’s goes to the first half of our college crew!

This group includes athletes who have trained with us throughout high school and are now heading off to college, athletes beginning their collegiate careers this fall, and returning college athletes getting ready for another season.

This group has absolutely CRUSHED it this summer. From hitting huge PRs and attacking their speed work, to pushing each other, coaching up our younger athletes, and bringing energy to the gym every day — they’ve made our facility better all summer long.

We’re incredibly excited to see the impact each of you makes during your upcoming college seasons. Thank you for setting the standard for the athletes coming up behind you and for making this summer a special one at ETS.

Go dominate this season, enjoy every second of it, and we’ll see you over breaks and next summer!
