Everybody wants to be an elite scorer.
Very few players are willing to do the work that elite scorers do.
When I started, I had one year of high school basketball. No AAU. No rankings. No social media highlights. Just a dream and a willingness to work.
That journey took me from Kannapolis to All American honors, professional basketball overseas, and competing against some of the best players in the world.
The lessons in this graphic aren’t complicated. They’re the same principles that helped me build my career:
🏀 Master the basics
🏀 Develop a signature move
🏀 Score without the ball
🏀 Study defenders
🏀 Practice like you play
🏀 Get comfortable being uncomfortable
🏀 Understand that scoring is more than shooting
🏀 Fall in love with repetition
Talent matters.
But consistency matters more.
The players who separate themselves are usually the ones willing to do the boring work over and over again when nobody is watching.
The game rewards preparation.
