Hey ya’ll I’m going to keep it short and sweet. I’m devastated how Kansas turned out. I can’t thank MMS enough for this incredible year, it didn’t end the way we wanted to but I’ve had a blast. We went into Kansas with the goal being I take this as a learning opportunity and try to benefit my career from it. The team had me in one of the best cars we have and I was able to learn even from the short time we had. When the wreck happened I saw the #69 on the apron and Jake had tagged him. I checked up and was hard on the brakes. I planned on following the #42 and when I went around the #69 is when I ran through the fluids coming from Jake’s radiator. When I made the cut to go below Bollman there was nothing I could do. Could I have slowed down more? Yes. Could I have just hit the apron and dodged all of it? Yes I could have but I had already committed to staying on the track. I’m devastated for Jake he would have likely had won the championship if the wreck didn’t happen and I know me hitting him certainly did not make it better. I apologize to Jake and everyone for my part of the crash, if I could go back I’d change everything I could about it all. For me I’m not exactly sure what lies ahead, I don’t have a lot of funding and I’m going to have to do everything I can to keep this from tanking my career. Thank ya’ll for sticking with me this year and I appreciate MMS for everything they’ve done for me.
