These two “sisters” have a little Labrador Retriever DNA in them, and Mom was hoping they’d learn to love the water! 🐾💦

It took a little time (and some convincing 😉), but by the end, BOTH had the swimming thing down! And the best part? On their final swims, each one came out of the pool with a toy!!

Two big wins for two very sweet pups! 🤍

This handsome 3-year-old Dachshund has a pretty exciting goal—his mom wants to take him kayaking! 🛶

The good news? He is already a fantastic swimmer. He loves fetching toys and proudly bringing them right back to Mom. To help him prepare for his future kayaking adventures, we spent some time working on his balance using the boogie board. It’s a fun way to build confidence and stability before hopping onto a moving kayak. 🌊🐶

Some dogs take a little convincing... and then there’s Bruce💦🐾

This 8-month-old English Lab had his very first swim at Warm Paws today, and it’s safe to say he had the time of his life. He already loves the water, so getting to watch him splash, swim, and show off was so much fun.

And can we talk about that form?! 👏😂

We can’t wait to see him back for more swims!

Leo is a 4-year-old Shih Tzu who recently started experiencing mobility issues, and his vet recommended swimming to help strengthen his muscles. Since he had never been in the water before, Mom & Dad weren’t quite sure what to expect… but safe to say, Leo proved them wrong and did AMAZING on his very first swim! 🐾💙

Josie has been swimming with us since 2024 💦🐾

But the best part? This sweet girl doesn’t just retrieve her toys…she politely piles them up as she goes like her own little cleanup crew 🥹

Safe to say, Josie is one of a kind!!

Belle went from backing into the pool to getting in all by herself!! 👏🏻

This sweet 6-year-old Newfoundland is already showing off what Newfies are known for…being natural swimmers! Historically, Newfoundland dogs were bred to retrieve people and boats from cold waters, so swimming is truly in their DNA. 🐾

From splashing like he’s trying to create a tsunami 🌊 to leaping into the pool chasing squeaky ducks 🦆💦

We’ve shared Juice before, but wow…he has become such a great swimmer! At just 14 months old, he’s got energy for days and happily swims for a good 50 minutes.

Something tells us dock diving might be in his future 👀🐾

A few weeks post left hip surgery and already putting in the work 💪🐾

She started with some splashing and playful bites at the water… then the tennis balls came out and she was all in!!! Lap after lap chasing them 🎾

Getting stronger, building confidence, and well on her way to a full recovery 💙
