This would be the beginning of a historic run through the Chase that featured Stewart winning five races and his third Cup Series Championship!

2004 - Tony Stewart got into the back of Kasey Kahne and caused a multi-car pile up in turn 1 on lap 127.

This led to a fight on pit road between the No. 20 and No. 9 teams, including crew chiefs Greg Zipadelli and Tommy Baldwin Jr.

2008 - Kyle Busch passed Jimmie Johnson on a restart with 2 laps to go to win at Chicagoland!

This was Busch's first Cup win at the track and his 7th win of 2008.

Takeout Tuesday!

2006 - With 4 laps to go, Jeff Gordon got into the back of race leader, Matt Kenseth, and sent him spinning.

Many believe this was Gordon's payback for getting spun out on the last lap by Kenseth at Bristol earlier in the season.

Gordon would go on to win this race. His first at Chicagoland and his 75th career Cup win.

Monumental Moment Monday!

2018 - Kyle Busch won his second career race at Chicagoland!

This was the fourth time Kyle Busch and Kyle Larson finished 1-2. They would finish 1-2 one last time at Pocono in 2021. (Busch won all 5 times they finished 1-2)

This was also's Dale Earnhardt Jr's debut as a full-time announcer.

1995 - Dale Earnhardt scored his first and only road course win at Sonoma!

Earnhardt passed Mark Martin, who led 66 out of the 74 laps, with 2 to go and he didn't look back.

Throwback Thursday!

2015 - Kyle Busch got his first win of 2015 at Sonoma.

This came four months after he broke both his legs in a crash at Daytona in the Xfinity Series. This also came soon after the birth of his son, Brexton.

This win would be the catapult he needed to go on to score his first of two Cup Series championships!

This also marked the first time the Busch brothers finished 1-2 in a Cup Series race!
