Our league is powered by volunteers, and serving on the Board is a great way to give back, share your ideas, and help us continue to grow and improve our program for our players and families.

⚾ LET’S TALK UMPS! ⚾

Umpires make a difference—and sometimes, they’re overlooked.

Recently, one of our East Haddam teams played Old Saybrook and had the privilege of being part of a game with an umpire who truly cared about the players and the game.

Throughout the game, we watched him work with BOTH teams. He enforced the rules, but he also took opportunities to teach. He helped batters with how they were holding the bat, talked with pitchers, encouraged players, and showed patience and grace to kids who were still learning.

It was such a great thing to watch. ❤️⚾

Fall Ball is an opportunity for players to continue developing their skills, try new positions, learn more about the game, and build confidence in a different environment. Having umpires who understand that makes the experience that much better.

Especially at the younger levels, umpiring is about so much more than calling balls and strikes, safe or out.

An umpire has an opportunity to teach.
To encourage.
To build confidence.
To reinforce good sportsmanship.
And sometimes, to make a moment on the field that a young player remembers long after the game is over.

So to ALL of our umpires—thank you.

Thank you for showing up, learning the game, enforcing the rules, supporting our coaches, and most importantly, helping create a positive experience for our players.

You are an important part of Little League, and we appreciate every single one of you! ⚾❤️

⚾ ARE YOU INTERESTED IN GETTING MORE INVOLVED IN OUR LITTLE LEAGUE? ⚾

We have some exciting opportunities coming up to join the East Haddam/Moodus Little League Board!

As we look ahead, some of our dedicated board members will be stepping down, and we’d love to start welcoming new faces, sharing knowledge, and preparing future members to step into these important roles.

We will be looking for:

⚾ President
⚾ Treasurer
⚾ Player Agent
⚾ Equipment Manager
⚾ T-Ball Coordinator

Our Treasurer and T-Ball Coordinator positions will need to be filled for the Spring 2027 season, while additional positions are being planned for as current members prepare to step down following the Spring 2027 season.

Joining the board is a great way to become more involved, support our players and families, and have a hand in keeping our Little League strong for years to come. ❤️⚾

You don’t have to know everything from day one! Getting involved early gives interested members time to learn the roles, work alongside current board members, and help make future transitions as smooth as possible.

📣 EAST HADDAM COMMUNITY — WE’RE HOPING FOR YOUR HELP! ⚾️💚

If you’ve spent time at our Majors Field, you probably know the set of wooden green bleachers that runs along the first-base line.

Those bleachers have served generations of Little League families, but the time has come for them to be replaced. What makes them extra special? They were originally built as an Eagle Scout project! 🦅

We would LOVE to continue that tradition.

East Haddam/Moodus Little League is looking to connect with a Scout who may be interested in taking on the construction of new bleachers as an Eagle Scout project.

This would be an incredible opportunity to create something that will be used by players, families, and our community for years to come — while carrying on the legacy of the Scouts who built the original bleachers.

🍂⚾🥎 FALL BALL HAS KICKED OFF! 🥎⚾🍂

Our Fall Ball teams officially hit the fields for their first games of the season this weekend! 🙌

Fall Ball is all about learning, growing, and having FUN! It gives our players the opportunity to:

⚾ Keep building and strengthening their skills
🥎 Learn new positions and try new things
⚾ Get to know the game for our newer players
🥎 Build confidence on the field
⚾ Learn how to work together as a team
🥎 And most importantly… play the game they love! ❤️

Fall Ball is a great opportunity for our players to keep developing without all the pressure—just more time on the field, more reps, more learning, and more baseball & softball!

We’re excited to watch these players grow throughout the season and carry everything they learn with them into the spring. 💪

Practices have started, and our players are already getting back to work! 💪

Fall Ball is a great opportunity for our players to keep building on everything they’ve learned while getting even more time on the field. Throughout the season, they’ll be:

⚾ Strengthening their fundamental skills
🥎 Learning and trying new positions
🤝 Getting to know new teammates
💪 Building confidence on the field
🧠 Growing their knowledge of the game
🌟 Preparing themselves for the upcoming Spring season!

Fall Ball is all about development, experience, and growth. It gives our players the chance to keep playing, keep learning, and challenge themselves in a fun environment without losing the momentum they built during the Spring season.

We’re so excited to watch these players grow over the next several weeks!

⚾🥎 FALL BALL IS HERE! 🥎⚾

First, a huge THANK YOU to all of our families for your patience as we worked through organizing the Fall Ball season! Fall is always a little tricky as we work around football, soccer, and other fall sports, and we truly appreciate everyone who has signed up and is ready for another season on the field! ❤️💙

📲 ROSTERS & GAMECHANGER
All coaches now have their rosters! Families should begin seeing invitations to join their respective teams on GameChanger, so please keep an eye out for yours.

🙋‍♂️ WE STILL NEED A FEW COACHES!
To make sure every team has the support it needs, we are still looking for:
• 1 volunteer coach for Minors Softball
• 1–2 volunteer coaches for Coach Pitch Baseball

No experience is necessary! If you’re willing to step up, help our players learn, and be part of their season, we need you! Please reach out to us if you’re able to help.

⚾ WHAT DOES MY PLAYER NEED?
Players will need:
• Cleats
• A glove
• Grey baseball pants

Players who participated in the spring may wear their spring team uniform for games. New players may wear a blue T-shirt, and we will also check our remaining uniforms from previous seasons to see what may be available.

🌟 WHAT IS FALL BALL ALL ABOUT?

Fall Ball is a developmental season. This is our opportunity to focus on learning, growing, practicing new skills, strengthening existing ones, and giving our players more time on the field!

One area we especially want to continue developing throughout both our baseball and softball programs is pitching depth across all levels. Fall Ball gives players a great opportunity to learn, try new positions, build confidence, and prepare for future seasons.

This season isn’t just about wins and losses — it’s about development, teamwork, sportsmanship, confidence, and FUN.

Fall Ball is FAST approaching, now we can see the teams we’re able to form, we need your help!

We are currently in need of volunteer coaches for:

⚾️ Majors Baseball
⚾️ Kid Pitch Baseball
🥎 Kid Pitch Softball

These kids are ready to get back on the field this fall — but we need coaches to help make that happen!

NO COACHING EXPERIENCE IS NEEDED! 🙌
You don’t have to be a baseball or softball expert. We’re looking for parents, family members, and community members willing to step up, get involved, and help give our players the best Fall Ball experience possible.

Coaching is about so much more than wins and losses. It’s about encouraging our players, helping them grow, teaching teamwork, building confidence, and making sure they have FUN playing the game they love. 💙
