Help shape the future of the New Montrose Recreation District Field House!

We’re hosting our second Community Open House this Wednesday, September 23 at 6 PM, and we want the community to be part of the conversation.

Join us at the future home of the Field House at 1227 Mayfly Dr. to learn more about the project, see where the new facility will be located, and get an update on the progress so far.

This is an opportunity to ask questions, share your feedback, and see how the Field House is coming together. Your input is an important part of creating a facility that serves our community for years to come.

Rookie had a wonderful time this past Thursday representing the MRD at BEACON Fest, bringing together older adults, families, and community organizations from across the area!

The event provided a wonderful opportunity to connect with local organizations, learn about valuable products, services, and resources, and enjoy a day filled with live entertainment, delicious food, educational seminars, and exciting prize giveaways.

A sincere thank you to BEACON Senior News, the City of Montrose, and everyone who helped make this wonderful community event possible. We truly enjoyed connecting with everyone who stopped by and look forward to seeing you again at future community events!

Meet Brent, one of the coaches helping make a difference for MRD Youth Sports! ⚽

For Brent, youth sports are about so much more than the game. They’re about watching kids grow in confidence, build friendships, learn teamwork, and become stronger members of their community.

One of his favorite memories was watching two young players put a set piece they had practiced into action and score! The crowd erupted, and for a moment, it felt like a professional match right here in Montrose.

“Kids are capable of so much more when they’re given the chance.”
That’s what Youth Sports Giving Day is all about: giving every kid the chance to play.
