Sometimes the very reasons you feel like you can’t exercise are the reasons getting stronger matters most.

Maybe your knees hurt, you’re tired more often than you used to be, your schedule is packed, you’re managing health concerns, or maybe exercise simply feels harder now than it did 10 or 20 years ago.

Those are real barriers, but avoiding movement altogether won't doesn’t make everyday life any easier... if anything, just the opposite.

The right kind of strength training can help you build a body that is better prepared for it... stronger muscles to support your joints, greater capacity for everyday activities, and the strength and confidence to keep doing the things that matter to you. Regular exercise also plays an important role in supporting your long-term health as you age.

And the best part? You don't have to spend hours in the gym to start feeling a difference.

At MaxStrength Fitness, we’ve spent more than 20 years helping people get healthy, fit, and strong with personalized, trainer-led strength training in just 20 minutes, twice a week.

No wandering around the gym wondering what to do. No rearranging your entire day around a workout. You show up, your trainer has a plan specifically for you, and 20 minutes later, you’re back to your life.

Because exercise should give you more from your life, not take more of it away.

More strength. More energy. More confidence in what your body can do. And more freedom to spend your time actually living.

If pain, age, fatigue, a busy schedule, or health concerns have kept you from starting, don't wait until everything feels perfect.

Start where you are. We'll meet you there. 💪

Walk-Away Chicken… Do we have your attention yet!? 😋

You don’t have to babysit the chicken while it’s cooking… and it comes out juicy and succulent!

🧑🍳 Walk-Away Chicken
(Serves 2)

- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 6 oz/170 g each)
- 1 tsp olive oil or butter
- Salt and pepper to taste

1️⃣ Pound chicken breasts to an even thickness, about ½- to ¾-inch (1.25- to 2-cm) thick.
Season both sides with salt and pepper. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add oil or butter and swirl to coat.

2️⃣ Lower heat to medium and add chicken. Cook undisturbed for 1 minute. Flip, reduce heat to low, and cover with a tight-fitting lid. Set a timer for 10 minutes. Do not lift the lid!

3️⃣ After 10 minutes, turn off the heat. Leave covered for another 10 minutes. Check that the internal temperature has reached 165°F/74ºC. Rest 2 to 3 minutes, then slice.

Flavor tip: Finish with lemon juice, fresh herbs, or your favorite sauce after cooking!

⭐️Client Spotlight: Meet Saundra Seger⭐️

“Twenty years ago when the doctor told me diet and exercise were less expensive than diabetic medications, I started exercising on a regular basis. My primary focus was on cardio. I tried it all: Walking (good for the dog), step aerobics, spinning, elliptical, biking, and Zumba. Eventually, I became bored with all of these. I also did minimal strength training...maxing out at 2 or 3 sets of 12 with 12 lbs weights.

Fast forward 15 years, I couldn’t outrun Type 2 diabetes. I was prescribed the expensive medications I was warned about. I can attest that they do deplete your muscles. I started light resistance training again on my own.

My husband convinced me to go for the introductory offer at Max Strength Fitness. I really didn’t want to, but I did. I came home and said, “we’re signing up!”. I enjoy coming to Max Strength Fitness. It’s great having the personalized attention and being coached and challenged through the resistance training. I can see and feel the results of putting the work in for 20 minutes twice a week. As a bonus, the strength training has also reduced my joint pain.”

Meet Jamie!

“Strength training transformed my life and body over the past five years in ways I never thought possible. It taught me discipline, built my confidence, and showed me that I was capable of far more than I once believed. The strength I gained went beyond the physical, it changed how I see myself, how I approach challenges, and what I believe I can achieve. Now, I'm passionate about helping others experience that same transformation.

I'm currently working towards becoming a Certified Personal Trainer with a specialization in Corrective Exercise, as well as a Certified Nutrition Coach. I'm excited to bring my passion for strength training to MaxStrength Fitness and be a part of a program built around science-backed training. I believe the best results come from a combination of smart programming, proper technique, and consistency. I'm excited to continue learning, growing as a trainer, and helping each person I work with build a stronger, healthier, and more confident version of themselves.”

🌟 Client Spotlight: Meet Crystal Pullen 🌟

For years, Crystal found herself in a cycle many people know all too well. She lost the same 50 pounds, and regained it, six different times. Restrictive dieting took its toll, including significant muscle loss, while previous workouts at a traditional gym resulted in knee injuries that required surgery.

In 2001, Crystal decided this time would be different. She lost 51 pounds and began what she now proudly calls her 25th anniversary of wellness.

Strength training became an important part of making that wellness journey last.

For the past five years, Crystal has trained with us at MaxStrength Fitness, where 20-minute, trainer-supervised sessions twice a week give her an efficient, highly focused way to continue building and maintaining strength.

“The workouts are not easy, you have to lean into them,” says Crystal. “I feel my trainer Cassie is with me every step of the way.”

Now 69, Crystal's motivation goes far beyond the number on the scale. She wants to remain strong, capable, and actively involved in the lives of her daughter and two grandchildren.

“I plan to remain an active and engaging part of my grandchildren’s and daughter’s lives. I don’t want to spend the last years of my life sitting around and saying goodbye to my independence.”

Crystal's story is a reminder that strength isn't simply about how you look. It's about maintaining the ability to keep showing up for the people and experiences that matter most. 💪
