Friday’s weather here was pretty rough, and there’s more coming today! 😩

I hate that we had to cancel Super 7, and I know we’ve been criticized and some people have expressed frustration.

However, we make decisions based on what we believe is best for everyone. We definitely didn’t want racers sitting in the rain or losing additional travel money—especially with today’s fuel prices.

We had to cancel last week’s Southern Outlaw Tour as well! We received the most rain we’ve seen in weeks!

SUPER 7 CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER

With an 85% chance of thunderstorms throughout the weekend, the Montgomery International Dragway Super 7 Points Series race has been cancelled. Please share and help us spread the word.

TWO STRAIGHT WEEKS OF BIG-MONEY BRACKET RACING AT MONTGOMERY!

Montgomery International Dragway will be the place to be in October with two huge races back-to-back!

First up is the 6th Annual Mike Smith Memorial Race, October 7–11, featuring three straight $20,000-to-win races, a $5,000 Warm-Up Race and a $5,000 Duck Race.

Then, the Great American USA takes over October 13–17 with four straight $50,000-to-win races—$200,000 in total winner payouts!

That’s eight days of racing over two straight weeks on Montgomery’s all-new surface.

Heavy rain, and more rain! 😩😔 SOT cancelled due to weather and heavy rain!

We hate to do it, but due to the significant amount of rain we have received throughout the morning, the rain that is still falling, and even more weather moving in behind it, this weekend’s Southern Outlaw Tour event has been canceled.

The original forecast showed the rain gone this morning. Well, that wasn’t true! It rained so hard that you could barely see!

According to the forecast, the rain is here to stay for a while. We want to be considerate of everyone’s time and provide a safe race surface.

Another concern is the amount of rain we received in the shut down area.

We will look at alternate dates to reschedule and announce the new date as soon as possible.

Thank you to everyone for your continued support. Our Southern Outlaw Tour event in March was a huge success, proving this series is here to stay.

It’s race day!! We are racing Southern Outlaw Tour! The weather shows to be clear this afternoon and we are excited! We will update everyone on the schedule change ASAP!

We will shift everything a bit later, to accommodate the weather and the heat.

So if you’re racing, you’ve got time to get here! Everything will be pushed back to later start time. Schedule late coming.
