Nine local men gathered at Lovers Point at 6am sharp this morning for a special 9/11 Remembrance run, walk, and ruck along the Pacific Grove coastline.
Q Red Rum kicked off the morning with a powerful, deeply informative pre-workout speech, laying out the timeline of events from that fateful morning 25 years ago. We all remember exactly where we were when the world changed, and Red Rum’s words set an honorable, reflective tone for the entire workout.
The pack split into our classic waves—runners, power-walkers, and heavy ruckers—taking to the coastline in unified effort:
The Ruckers & Walkers: Holding down the steady pace and reflecting on service and sacrifice.
The Run Group: Pushing the pace along the bay in honor of those who ran toward danger.
Upon our return to the AO, we stood together for a Circle of Trust and an extended moment of silence. While 9/11 remains one of the darkest days in our nation's history, it also showed the extraordinary strength, unity, and connection of the American spirit. Out on the trail today, we were reminded that strong local communities like F3 are where that connection continues to live on.
Thank you to Red Rum for leading us with such grace and solemnity today.
Never Forget.
