Last week, DownSouth Sports Magazine’s Game of the Week featured a cross-town rivalry showdown between Neville and Ouachita. The Tigers delivered a dominant performance, defeating the defending state champion Lions 48–0.

Neville wide receiver Maude Sledge ( #5) earned Most Valuable Player honors after an outstanding performance, finishing with 102 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Last week, DownSouth Sports Magazine’s “Game of the Week” spotlighted an exciting matchup between the Ouachita Lions and Wossman Wildcats. The reigning state champion Ouachita Parish Lions delivered another impressive performance, defeating the Wildcats 43–28.

Leading the way for Ouachita was quarterback Lester Watts III ( #7), who earned DownSouth Sports Magazine Most Valuable Player honors after a tremendous all-around performance. Watts completed 13 of 18 passes for 210 yards and four touchdowns, while also making an impact on the ground with 62 rushing yards and another touchdown, accounting for five total touchdowns on the night.
