Yesterday we said our final goodbye to our sweet boy, Roper.

Roper was such a special horse who gave many kids their very first ride. He did everything we asked of him, was kind and gentle with the littles, and still found the energy to get up and go in his old age.

We are so thankful for the wonderful years Roper gave our family and the kids who came to ride him. He was a special one.

With sadness we share the passing of our sweet horse, Pinto. Pinto suffered from a fatal accident last week and was put to rest on Tuesday, May 2nd.

We appreciate all that Pinto did for our family and the families who came to enjoy their time with him during therapeutic riding.

He jumped into his role as a care taker and never disappointed us. He was a special one.

When a student has mastered the basic commands and is applying pressure in variety of ways we move on to completing patterns.

Patterns require the horse and rider to work as a team to complete a variety of tasks. It is a chance for the rider to put all of their skills to the test. When they get the pattern down, we add some speed.

This is a beginning stage for more advanced pattern skills such as barrel racing, pole bending, and western horsemanship.
