Has your life gotten stressful now that school has started? Can’t get a chance to unwind and relax? We have your answer. Ride a bicycle! It’s the perfect way to clear your head, get your day in order, plan for the weekend, organize the transportation schedule all while getting exercise and fresh bay air.

You know it’s Wednesday, you know what Wednesday means? The Wednesday LoDa Braided River Social ride. Ride now starts at Braided River Brewing Co. at 6:30 pm. We ride to Nixon’s and hydrate/eat and socialize. The ride returns back to Braided River. As it is getting darker earlier, lights are strongly recommended. It should be a warm night so make sure you bring hydration.

The last few mornings have been great bike riding weather. As this trend hopefully continues make sure your bike is ready for the nicer weather. We are always here to take a quick look at your bike to make sure it’s ready for all the riding you are about to do.

Early Bird Special pricing for the Pedal Through The Pines by “Mobile Bay Riders Cycling Club” through August 31st. The ride has 3 different distances and is for all rider levels. It is a nice scenic ride with food and music after the ride. Victor Lett Jr. has been very supportive of our shop and we highly recommend spending November 14th doing the ride.

Another fantastic group ride! At one point we had over 50 riders, had a grandchild with his grandfather, and Justin brought his dog in his backpack for a nice morning stroll. To celebrate Mobile Tiki Week we are wearing our freshest tiki attire for our Saturday morning group ride. As we keep adding new riders we need to make sure we are following the rules of the road—call out cars, turns, hazards, stops, etc. Hope to see you at 8 am at the shop(107 Dauphin St). The ride is around 10 miles and lasts around an hour. We rent bikes too if you want to ride but don’t have a bike.

With Mobile Tiki Week going strong you don’t need to worry about finding a parking spot if you go by bike. Riding your bike can get you nice and close to your chosen destination. It’s also a great way to work off the food and drinks you had to celebrate Tiki Week.

It’s Wednesday, it’s hot outside, it must be the LoDa Social ride. The Wednesday Night Ride has a new starting point, Braided River Brewing Co. at 420 St Louis St. The ride had our shop listed as the sponsors, it is James West ride. We love the ride, we support the ride, and we love that this ride has been a huge part of the Mobile cycling community. The ride makes a stop at Nixon’s and tonight we will be celebrating Rock’s 21st birthday with some Flamin’ Hots as a snack break.

The Witches Ride date has been set! Tickets go on sale soon. This gives you plenty of time to make sure your bike is ride ready. We are looking forward to the ride and hope we see lots of familiar faces. The ride is sponsored by Delta Dogs and benefits the doggies.

The month is half way over. Where are you at on your goals? Chris and Jesse have taken advantage of the beautiful weather and have
added more miles to their goals. Jesse also,reluctantly, has made a goal to memorize the routes he rides. It’s all about baby steps!
