What is your PEAK Accomplishment?
Dean started practicing Pilates in 2024 and found it took “a different type of strength.” After a back injury left his spine fused (L3 – S1, L3, 4, 5 and the lower one, S1), having rotator cuff surgery on both shoulders, and a left knee replacement, he wasn’t willing to give up his active lifestyle but needed an alternative to lifting weights to keep golfing, hiking, rafting, and biking confidently.
He started doing private classes with Georgia ( “Amazing, high level of expertise, very knowledgeable, not only about Pilates, but physiology and body movement”), and needless to say, he was impressed.
His Progress:
1 month - I started feeling the control. I had SOME command over my core
2 months - I could feel the strength coming from my core. I started practicing using my core during BODYPUMP – BINGO
Today - I have much more control over these small Pilates muscles. I would say I have total control, but Pilates is like many other things in life. The more you learn, the more you know, there is much you don’t know. I feel like I am in the middle of my Pilates journey and who knows how much more I am capable of.
I am so much stronger and confident when working out (BODYPUMP). When I stand on the tee box or over any shot I take, I feel the connection. When I make that swing, its like a whip, and the core is in control – I cannot explain this feeling.
“You cannot do everything if you do Pilates with Georgia, but you can do everything better, if you do Pilates with Georgia.”
-Dean H, age 69
