DON’T JUST WORK ON YOUR WEAKNESSES. LEARN TO EXPLOIT YOUR STRENGTHS.
A big part of racing is knowing where you have an advantage—and where you don’t.
For me, I’ve learned I can make up a lot of ground on the uphills and downhills, but I’m probably not catching many people on a long, flat straightaway.
So I train accordingly.
⛰️ Uphill: Hill workouts to improve climbing efficiency.
⬇️ Downhill: Specific downhill training to prepare for the muscle damage.
🏃♀️ Flat/speed: Track workouts to improve top-end speed.
The same principle applies in the weight room.
At Reframe Performance, we identify the limitations holding you back and use targeted weight training to address them—while maximizing the qualities you already have.
Know your strengths.
Know your weaknesses.
Train both.
And on race day? Exploit your strengths.
