๐Ÿ”ฅThis fall weโ€™re switching things up.

Instead of our usual 6-week challenge, weโ€™re teaming up with nutritionist Ann from Fettle + Food for something bigger: an 8-week, womenโ€™s-only program built around lifting, eating well, and doing it together.

Hereโ€™s how Lift Her works. Three lifting days a week. Sundays are a group lift at Revo, just for participants, coached by Mariah. The other two days are yours: hit your usual RevoFit class, lift at home, or wherever youโ€™ve got a gym.

On the nutrition side, a nutrition coach meets with you one-on-one twice over Zoom to build your plan, then they are in your pocket the rest of the 8 weeks through her app. Real answers, real support, no guessing.

Good lifting. Good eating. Good company. Thatโ€™s the whole plan. Get focused this fall, and youโ€™ll feel better than ever going into the new year and winter fun!

$199 for members, $320 for non-members. 8 weeks, starting September 14th.

Welcome to the Revo team, Gabe!

Gabeโ€™s a Missoula kid. Grew up here playing soccer, running track, even dabbled in hockey for a bit, before heading out to the University of Washington, to study health science. He missed soccer so much out there that he found a semi pro club team to play for, and this past year he landed a spot on the practice squad for the UW soccer team!

Heโ€™s been coaching in some form for a while now, tutoring, training his own soccer athletes, and just genuinely likes helping people figure stuff out. Revoโ€™s given him a shot to do that as an actual trainer, and heโ€™s been a great addition this summer before he heads back to Seattle this fall.

When heโ€™s not coaching, he usually has a camera out shooting wildlife, or a guitar in his hand.

The Rut is one of the most iconic races in Montana, and itโ€™s almost here. We know a ton of people in the Missoula community are gearing up for it.

Itโ€™s been a long summer of training to get here. This is usually where things start to slip. Youโ€™re tired, youโ€™re busy, and itโ€™s tempting to coast on the work youโ€™ve already put in. But this final stretch is exactly where your focus matters most, not less.

Hereโ€™s what weโ€™ve been talking about with members and friends training for The Rut:

Your gut needs training too, not just your legs. If you havenโ€™t started dialing in your fueling, thereโ€™s still time, but not much of it.

Donโ€™t ditch the gym completely. The strength you built over the summer doesnโ€™t disappear overnight, but it will slip if you quit these last couple of weeks.

Your training should look a little different than it did in June. What youโ€™re doing in the gym should start mirroring what race day will actually ask of you.

And most of all: get real vert! Nothing replaces time on your feet on terrain and vert that matches the race.

Youโ€™ve put in the work. Protect it these last few weeks, youโ€™re almost there.

Weโ€™ll be cheering you on, some of us from afar but a lot in person!
Let us know what your goal is for the race, and as always, let us know if you have any questions.

For Kaitlin, it looks like being able to say yes more often.

Yes to the trail run with the friend whoโ€™s just a little bit faster.

Yes to the long mountain bike ride on a more technical trail.

Yes to the hike with the crazy elevation.

When she joined Revo in October 2023, she already had an active lifestyle. Sheโ€™d tried running, CrossFit, group exercise, spin, Pilates, and small-group training.

But she felt stuck.

She wanted to get stronger. She wanted to become a better runner. And she had one pretty specific goal: run a 10K at a 10:00/mile pace.

Fast forward almost three years:

Sheโ€™s run a half marathon averaging a 9:30/mile pace and beaten her previous PR by almost 10 minutes!

Sheโ€™s rehabbed an Achilles injury while continuing to build strength under the coachโ€™s guidance.

But the bigger win might be this:

Your week isnโ€™t seven separate workouts. Itโ€™s one running total.

Missoula summers are short, and itโ€™s easy to just keep grabbing every good-weather window: a trail run, a hard ride, a long hike, back to back to back. Your body doesnโ€™t separate that out. It just adds it up.

High-output days ask a lot: heavy lifts, hard climbs, sprints, intervals. Low-output days ask for patience: mobility, easy miles, technique work. Your body needs both, in the right order, to actually adapt.

Stack too many high days back to back and youโ€™re not training hard, youโ€™re just accumulating fatigue. Your nervous system needs time to catch up, even if your legs feel fine.

The fix isnโ€™t doing less. Itโ€™s being more intentional about when you go hard, and backing off when you need to.

Thatโ€™s how you keep showing up strong through the whole season.

Tight shoulders arenโ€™t always a shoulder problem.

Tight necks arenโ€™t always a neck problem.

One of the things we love about coaching is helping people connect the dots between what theyโ€™re feeling and whatโ€™s actually causing it.

If youโ€™ve been dealing with chronic neck tension, shoulder tightness, upper back stiffness, or feeling like you canโ€™t take a deep breath, this oneโ€™s for you.
