Motivational Monday is our chance to turn lemons into lemonade. Take the not so sweet and make it sweeter. Have you ever felt like your life was in chaos? Not sure which direction to turn? It can even feel overwhelming. Packing and moving gives my OCD brain anxiety. I want order. Everything to be in its place. Neat and pretty. And clean! Paperwork delays, moving dates changed and more days living out of boxes and suitcases. Ugh. So I sat down and had a long talk with myself. I said: “SELF You are your client now. What advice does SHE need to hear to navigate through this moment? To calm her nerves (and BP)😳. SELF spoke to me. She said this is how you turn chaos into structure…And most importantly, SHE said: the boxes won’t be here forever and neither will the season you’re going through. Practicing Gratitude includes recognizing the goodness in life and appreciating that goodness how it shows up. Today’s Gratitude Moment: My Driver was jamming some good vibrations music. As soon as I got in the vehicle, I could feel his positive energy. And his music reflected that. It made me smile. I looked at the sunshine. I observed it was a beautiful day. I bobbed my head to the beat. Life felt lighter. I practiced gratitude.

It’s Motivational Monday. Turning lemons into lemonade. Today I encourage you to be more mindful of the words you say to yourself. What you speak about yourself becomes who you are. Even Neuroscience has proven how speaking negatively to yourself actually damages a part of your brain. Yet speaking positively enhances and even changes your DNA. Rewrite the script. Don’t call yourself stupid. Don’t say you’re broke. Say I am learning. I am a work in progress. My finances are going to get better. It’s easy to slide into negative thinking because society often encourages it. Be the change. Make yourself the test ground. For 8 weeks speak only positive words over your life.

Did you know failure is often the precursor to Success? The key to failure is to regroup, reboot and restart. It’s okay to grieve and be sad but pick yourself up, dust off your clothes and try again. Pat yourself on the back if you ever failed and didn’t give up. Motivational Monday is all about turning lemons into lemonade.

Did you get you Vitamin D in today? Don’t be afraid of the sun. And this comes from a vitiligo girl. From teaching my Beach Yoga classes for many years to sitting outside and just absorbing the sun 🌞 through the top of my head, it’s good to know your body naturally creates Vitamin D when you get some sun. I also supplement with Vitamin D3 capsules. Vitamin D keeps our body strong, immune system boosted and bones strong.

Welcome to Motivational Monday. Your Monday musings…when you think about how you want to be remembered, what legacy would you like to leave on this planet? Is it for your accomplishments? Is it the way you treated others? Is it the way you showed up for yourself and others? Every deed we choose to do becomes our legacy. No matter how large or small it is. And btw what would make it small? Comparing yourself to no one. It’s you. Your choices. The way you show up for life. That’s your legacy.
