The 24th Annual Battle of the Beltways was held between the Baltimore and Washington, D.C. chapters August 1 & 2 in the beautiful mountains of East Central Pennsylvania, with the Baltimore chapter being victorious this year and winning the trophy back! Competing for a trophy and bragging rights were 32 women playing a Solheim Cup format - the first day being fourball and the second day being singles play. Baltimore ended the weekend with 14 points to D.C.'s 10 points. The winning team maintains the trophy for a year and the chapters look forward to the competition again next year!

Diane H. hosted a great outing for our group this past weekend at Mountain Brach Golf Course. The course was beautiful and challenging, especially with the games the group were competing in for prizes.

Ten hardy members from 3 different chapters (DC, Southern Maryland and Baltimore) braved the 100+ degree heat to play two golf courses in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley over the July 4th weekend, followed by a pizza party at Baltimore member Pam's house. No golf games were played due to the heat, but everyone who attended got a prize just for showing up! Pam loved seeing and playing with old friends, and meeting new friends! Thanks to all who came out to celebrate the 250th Semiquincentennial by playing golf!

LPGA Amateurs Baltimore were invited to volunteer at Camden Yard's Upper Deck event. Patty Meehan, Adriana DiProspero, Liz Fitzsimmons, Denise Pohlhaus and Gwen Cameron-Davis(not pictured) were a few members who participated. All had a great time!
