🌱 A Little Green Goes a LONG Way! 💚

We finally have some GREEN back on our greens! 🙌 And let me tell you…we couldn’t be happier to see it!

The recovery has definitely taken longer than we hoped, but the grass is growing, the greens are filling in, and we are seeing improvements every day. That is something we are incredibly thankful for!

Now for the hard part…we still need to be patient. 😬

We’re not quite ready to turn everyone loose on the regular greens just yet. They still need more time to heal, grow stronger, and fill in. We know those temporary greens aren’t anyone’s favorite, but every day we keep the regular greens protected is another day closer to getting them back where they belong. The temporary greens will continue in place through the first week of September. At that time, we will reevaluate the condition of the greens and determine which, if any, are ready to make their comeback! Unfortunately, some of the greens may not be able to reopen until next golf season. 😔

We know waiting isn’t always easy—but we truly believe these greens are going to be worth the wait! And in the mean time, we are working on other course updates and maintenance processes as well to keep Wildwood in the condition you expect and deserve.

Greens Renovation Update & Temporary Greens

Our crews have been busy, and we’re excited to share that the labor for the major renovations to the greens is now complete!

Our focus now shifts to watering and carefully maintaining the renovated greens as they grow and recover. We’re also moving forward with additional (less major but still important) maintenance and repairs throughout the course, including work on the tee boxes and fairways.

We Need Your Help!

At this time, we are asking all of our golfers to help spread the word that the course is still open and playable, but temporary greens are currently being used and will remain for the time being.

The regular greens that have been repaired CANNOT be played on at this time. This is extremely important to allow the newly renovated greens the time they need to recover and become healthy and playable again.

If your ball lands on one of the regular greens, please carefully retrieve your ball and immediately leave the green. Do not play the ball from the regular green.

We truly appreciate everyone’s patience, cooperation, and support as we continue working to bring the course back to the condition we all want to see. We’re making progress, and we’re excited about what’s ahead!

Update on our Golf Course Greens:

We are pleased to share that after just a week of our greens recovery efforts, they have already shown significant improvement. If you’ve been out to see the progress, thank you for your continued patience and support. We are just as excited as you are to watch the day-to-day improvements as the greens continue to recover.

Our team is monitoring the greens closely and working on them every day to restore them to the quality you expect. In the meantime, several temporary greens will remain in use while the recovery process continues.

We encourage you to come out and still enjoy the course and friendly staff, and we sincerely appreciate your continued support during this time. We are committed to bringing the course back to the excellent condition you expect and deserve, and we look forward to sharing more progress with you in the weeks ahead.
