GIANNI SIMAMORA |

“It’s not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters.” Epictetus 🐯 Gianni Simamora out of Baltimore Armour MLS in Rockville, Maryland doesn’t just play with that philosophy, he lives it. A center defensive midfielder modeled in the mold of N’Golo Kanté, the hardest-working, most selfless midfielder in the game, Gianni is the kind of player who makes every single person around him better. He came to Oxy for its strong soccer program, academics, and community. He’s about to become a cornerstone of all three.

Gianni made the East Coast-to-LA journey with full conviction. That reaction under pressure? It’s going to show up every game day in Eagle Rock. Welcome to Tiger Town, Gianni. 🧡🖤

DALTON TROXELL-CAPPELLO |

Say it plain. 🧱🐯 When we asked Dalton Troxell-Cappello why he chose Oxy, he said, “I want to win a national title.” No fluff. No filler. Just winning. A commanding center back out of Inter Atlanta MLS, Dalton models his game after Chris Richards, the standard for modern American center backs at the highest level. Physical, technical, composed, and completely locked in, Dalton is going to anchor a backline that opponents are going to fear.

Dalton is making the move from Atlanta to Eagle Rock with one thing on his mind: a championship. That’s the only kind of Tiger we want. Welcome to Tiger Town, Dalton. 🐯

ANGEL GUZMAN |

The last line of defense. The first statement of intent. 🧤🐯 We are HYPED to welcome goalkeeper Angel Guzman from City SC San Diego MLS to the Occidental College Men’s Soccer family. A keeper who grew up watching Iker Casillas, the gold standard of the position, Angel carries the calm, commanding presence between the posts that championship teams are built around. He chose Oxy for the academics, the welcoming community, and a program that strives for success. His words. Our standard. “No, you’re not perfect, but you’re not your mistakes,” and that growth mindset is what Tiger Town is all about.

Angel is coming up from San Diego to anchor the back of an Oxy side with serious aspirations. The net is in the best of hands. Welcome, Angel. 🧡🖤

CALLUM TODD |

The backline just got a whole lot stronger. 🔒 We are thrilled to welcome Callum Todd, a composed, versatile defender out of De Anza MLS, to the Occidental College family. A student of the game who models his play after Scott McTominay, Callum brings technical quality and intelligence, whether he’s locking down as a left center-back or stepping into the wing-back role. He visited Eagle Rock and felt exactly what everyone who visits feels: “this community is different.”

Callum carries Shakespeare with him: “It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves.” That self-determination? That’s Tiger DNA. Welcome to Tiger Town, Callum. 🧡🖤

KEVAN CLEMENS |

Tiger Town, welcome home, Kevan Clemens. 🐯 A right-wing back out of Ballistic MLS in San Jose, Kevan is exactly the kind of player who embodies the Oxy Ball identity, born in LA, drawn back to the city, and built for the culture we’ve created in Eagle Rock. A Harry Kane admirer who lives by “audentis fortuna juvat.” Fortune favors the bold. Kevan brings that attacking courage on the right flank that makes defenses uncomfortable every single minute he’s on the pitch.

We couldn’t be more fired up to have him. Bold choices, bold play, Tiger everything. Welcome to the family, Kevan. 🧡🖤
