National Karate South Minneapolis

We are closed from Friday, 9/4 through Monday 9/7, returning to regular classes on Tuesday, 9/8. Enjoy the long weekend before the school year begins.

Starting Tuesday, 9/8, we will go back to Full Uniforms.

The Monthly Exam will take place on Saturday, August 29th at the S. Minneapolis National Karate studio.

• Sparring gear is required for all belt levels green and above
• Be sure to bring a water bottle
• Wear your FULL uniform, including your karate uniform top
• Bring any weapons you may need for testing

Please be ready at least 15 minutes prior to the exam start time.

10:30 AM - Intermediate & Advanced Exam

Joint Sparring Development Class @ Woodbury National Karate: Saturday, August 22nd @ 1:20pm

Woodbury National Karate will be hosting South Minneapolis students AT Woodbury. The goal of this practice is to bring together our two schools so that everyone can get more experience fighting people that are not just from their own schools.

Please arrive with enough time to be fully in gear prior to the start time
Regular teen/adult sparring at 1pm will be cancelled this day
This sparring class is available to Youth Advanced/Black Belt students and ALL Teen/Adult students
if you are unable to make this sparring class, please notify one of the instructors

6:00 - 7:00 Advanced Musical Mega Team

*No practice Sept 5th. Diamonds Tournament practice is in additional to regular class schedule unless noted

Intermediate Mega Team: First practice is 8/22 at 3:15pm and continue SATURDAYS until Diamond Nationals (8/22, 8/29, 9/12, 9/19, 9/26, 10/3)

Advanced Non-Musical Team: First practice is 8/22 at 4:15pm and continue SATURDAYS until Diamond Nationals (8/22, 8/29, 9/12, 9/19, 9/26, 10/3)

Advanced Musical Mega Team: Practice continues SATURDAYS at 6:00 PM until Diamond Nationals (8/22, 8/29, 9/12, 9/19, 9/26, 10/3)*

Want to test out your skills? Participate in an upcoming open tournament and see how you stack up against competitors! This is a great way to show off your skills and practice your moves outside of the karate school.
