Along the way, you’ll ride beneath shady hardwoods, splash through mountain creeks, cross open pastureland, and take in some incredible Blue Ridge scenery. Appalachian Trail Rides in Mineral Bluff explores a 300-acre private farm filled with mountain views, lakes, creeks, and wooded trails. Blue Ridge Mountain Trail Rides offers everything from easy woodland rides to longer trips with mountain and river crossings. Sunburst Adventures heads into the Chattahoochee National Forest, while Dillard House Stables offers scenic rides along and even through the Little Tennessee River. Cowgirl Up Stables in Cherry Log has longer adventures into the Cohutta Wilderness, complete with several creek crossings. Chattahoochee Stables rounds out the trip in Sautee Valley, where horseback rides have been offered since 1987.
