Came across something really cool this morning. I was about to strip this Puch 250 front fender and then I noticed that it was an original factory BLUE 250.
Very cool and rare, probably not sold as an Allstate more likely as a Puch.
While I have had panels and bits in this color in the past none of those had any brilliance left or true sense of this color.
Since this is the underside of a perfect, rust and damage free fender the color accuracy is really good. There is even some remnants of the original striping and a smidgen of blue trace on the topside.
These early single stage mild metallics can be tough to match, but since it is so good I think I am going to have it matched.
Sadly we are in the age of $400/gallon paints, but I think it would be a gas to see a proper Blue 250 restored.
