Big news at MTEF! We’re excited to officially introduce our new tennis leadership team!

Cullen White is stepping into the role of Tennis Director, with Susan Loomis and Spencer Creal joining him as Assistant Tennis Directors.

Together, this team will help us strengthen our programs, support and develop our coaches, create more consistency across our sites, and continue building opportunities for our players on and off the court.

We’re so excited for this next chapter and can’t wait to see what this team builds together!

MTEF Summer 2026 is officially a wrap!

Nine weeks filled with tennis, new friendships, big laughs, new experiences, and SO many memories.

From our camps, Teen League, lessons, the Summer Showdown, and everything in between, it was quite a summer!

Our players grew on the court, but they also built confidence and social-emotional skills, tried new things, made new friends, and had a whole lot of fun along the way.

To our incredible summer staff, families, enrichment partners, guest presenters, volunteers, and supporters — THANK YOU. 💙 You helped make all of this possible.

Most of all, thank you to every young person who spent part of their summer with us. You are the reason we do what we do.

Zylphia was named the Grand Prize Winner in the Grades 6–8 Division of the 2026 USTA Midwest Tennis & Education Foundation NJTL Essay Contest!

Her essay reflected on the theme “Realize the Dream” and shared how she uses her voice, her love of tennis, and her commitment to others to make a difference in her community.

We love having Zylphia (and her family) as part of the MTEF family, and we’re thrilled to see her hard work, thoughtfulness, and leadership recognized across the Midwest.

Congratulations, Zylphia! You continue to make us proud both on and off the court. 💙🏆

Both this coaches balance careers outside of tennis while continuing to make time to mentor, teach, and inspire the next generation of players. Whether it's leading evening programs or taking time away from work to help at camp, their commitment to MTEF and the young people we serve is truly appreciated.

More Than Tennis: Animal Encounters

One of the favorite days of MTEF Summer Camp is when Ms. Kim and her amazing animals come to visit!

Campers learn about each animal, asking questions, and discovering fascinating facts about the creatures they meet. Then comes everyone's favorite part—they get the chance to interact with them up close by holding, petting, and experiencing these incredible animals firsthand.

The excitement isn't just for the campers...our staff love it too!

A huge thank you to Ms. Kim for sharing her knowledge, her passion, and her wonderful animals with us each summer. Because at MTEF, we’re building more than tennis players—we’re inspiring curiosity that reaches far beyond the court.

🎉 We are so proud to celebrate Cullen White as a member of the inaugural YNPN Milwaukee 30 Under 30 class!

Cullen was recognized alongside 29 other incredible young nonprofit professionals who are making a difference across Milwaukee through their leadership, service, innovation, and impact.

For the past six years, Cullen has been giving back to MTEF, and over the last two years, he has stepped into an even bigger leadership role. He has an incredible ability to connect with young people, making them feel heard, respected, and motivated to learn. He is also a mentor to the coaches around him and someone whose patience, leadership, and commitment have made a lasting impact on MTEF.

We already knew Cullen was pretty special, but we love seeing others recognize it too.
