Founded in 1996, the Chicago Salmon play a vintage style of base ball dating back to 1858.
The Salmon have a roster consisting of players from around the Chicagoland area, and play matches against other area teams at the Historic Methodist Campground in Des Plaines, IL, as well as Lincoln Park, and other area fields. The Salmon also “barnstorm” on the road to places such as Central Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin. It's a double Salmon weekend! On Saturday, July 25th the Salmon are swimming to Kline Creek Farm in West Chicago, IL for a vintage base ball match against the Lemont Quarrymen. On Sunday, July 26th the Salmon are swimming to Big Ball Park in Riverside, IL for a vintage base ball match against the Milwaukee Grays. Both matches begin at 1:00pm CST. We hope to see you there!
