😂 JONATHAN MIGHT WANNA HURRY BACK FROM ELDORA… Since he's at the World 100 with the HTF race team this week, we had to find a replacement driver for the red packer van.

And we found one that is prettier, drives better, AND actually gets some work done. 👀😂

Jonathan’s job status is officially under review.

🏆👀 𝗖𝗔𝗡 𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝗜𝗧 𝟭𝟬𝟬 𝗔𝗧 𝗦𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗡?!
Sprint Car legend Terry Gray is coming back to Southern Raceway this Saturday night with a little history on the line!

The 16-time USCS National Champion and National Sprint Car Hall of Fame inductee picked up career USCS victory No. 99 last Saturday at Dixie Speedway in Georgia... meaning his next trip to Victory Lane will be the 100th USCS feature win of his legendary career! 🏁

And Gray has plenty of recent history at Southern Raceway. He scored USCS win No. 97 right here at Southern, then returned with the series in May and was battling for the lead late in the race before a tangle with a lapped car knocked him out of contention.

Now he gets another shot.

Gray returns Saturday night with the USCS Winged Outlaw Sprint Cars needing just one more victory to reach the century mark.

The inaugural Barney Barnhill Memorial was about a lot more than who took home the trophies and big checks. Thank you to everyone who spent part of their Labor Day Weekend with us and helped make this event something special.

⏱️ 𝗗𝗨𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗞 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗥𝗗𝗦! 🔥 Speaking of track records, we established another one during Saturday's Crate Racin' USA Late Model qualifying for the Barney Barnhill Memorial when Joseph Brown turned a lap of 15.085 seconds!

Brown was one of four drivers to beat the old mark of 15.229 held by Bo Slay. In fact, he and Matt Dooley BOTH went faster than the previous Crate Late Model track record while qualifying at the same time! 👀

Dooley broke the record first. Brown answered on his first lap. Dooley went even faster than Brown on Lap 2… then Brown answered AGAIN, stopping the clock at 15.085 seconds to claim the new Crate Late Model track record! ⏱️🔥

That's the eighth division with a new track record since we put down the new clay at Southern Raceway.

Now you see why we’re so excited to find out what those USCS Winged Sprint Cars are gonna turn Saturday night… 👀

⏱️ 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧'𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗦𝗧 𝗟𝗔𝗣 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗡𝗘𝗗 𝗔𝗧 𝗦𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗡 𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘𝗪𝗔𝗬? 👀
We don't know for sure what it is, but there’s a pretty good chance we're gonna see an even faster one when the USCS Winged Sprint Cars hit the new Southern Raceway surface for the first time this Saturday night. 🔥

Every division that has qualified at Southern Raceway since we put down the new clay has broken its previous track record. Now it’s the Sprint Cars’ turn.

We've gotten approval from USCS officials to use a time trial format Saturday night, so for the first time, we'll establish an official 360 Winged Sprint Car track record at Southern Raceway! And we’re putting $500 on the line for the driver who sets it! 💰🏁

We already know the USCS Winged Outlaw Sprint Cars are going to be FAST on the new clay. The question is… HOW FAST?

𝗠𝗢𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗥 𝗔𝗧 𝗦𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗡! 🔥 The IMCA Modifieds put on a show during Saturday's Barney Barnhill Memorial at Southern Raceway, with Greg Hopkins, Jason Barnhill, and Jimmy Dunaway battling hard through the final five laps.

Ending a four-year winless streak at the track, Hopkins held on to claim a win that was as fitting as it was exciting. He began his racing career at Southern Raceway when Barney Barnhill was still promoting the track in the 1990s.

After two great nights of racing with the Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series this weekend, we found out today when we’ll get to see the series again!

Southern Raceway will host the Crate Racin’ USA Winter Shootout Series in 2027 as part of our Gulf Coast Winter Nationals!

After watching these cars race all over our new clay this past weekend, we’re already looking forward to seeing what they can do when they return in February. 🔥
