Master Your Arm Day💪
If you want bigger, stronger triceps, swinging heavy weights won't get you there. Poor form shifts the load off your arms and onto your shoulders and lower back, leaving gains on the table and risking injury.
Check out the side-by-side breakdown for these three staple movements:
1. Overhead Tricep Extension
❌ Incorrect: Elbows flaring wide out to the sides and arching your lower back to hoist the weight.
✅ Correct: Keep your elbows tucked close to your ears, brace your core to protect your spine, and isolate the triceps through a full range of motion.
2. Tricep Kickbacks
❌ Incorrect: Dropping your upper arm between reps and using momentum to swing the dumbbell back.
✅ Correct: Lock your upper arm parallel to the torso, keep your elbow high, and extend strictly at the elbow joint with a hard squeeze at the top.
3. Tricep Extensions / Pushdowns
❌ Incorrect: Hunching your shoulders forward, letting your elbows drift, and using your body weight to press down.
✅ Correct: Pin your elbows firmly against your ribs, keep your chest open, and control the weight both on the way down and back up.
