EVOLUTION TRAINING ASSESSMENTS - OFFICIAL SCOUTING REPORT

Player: Landyn
Date: 9/8/26
Location: Evolution Lab
Session Type: Light Bullpen - Return Session

OVERVIEW
Great to get Landyn back in the lab. He's a great client and a great kid, and we really look forward to helping him get where he wants to go. Overall was a great session.

PITCHING REPORT - MECHANICS BREAKDOWN

What We Saw:
Landyn was doing great in the light bullpen overall, but still just rushing out and leaking out a little bit. Getting out front too quickly, losing his stack and losing energy forward before his arm was ready to work through.

The Fix:
We started to focus on two keys:

Engage Thoracic Spine: Getting his mid-back to engage and stay stacked instead of dumping forward.
Stabilize Back Leg: Getting him to stabilize better on his back leg and hold the ground longer.

As soon as we cleaned that up, everything started to sync.

Result:
This helped him pronate as he was throwing the baseball a lot better. Much cleaner hand action, ball coming out more efficiently, more true to the target. Better stabilization = better pronation = better finish.

BIOMECHANICAL SUMMARY

Root: Rushing out / Leaking -> Loss of back leg stability -> Thoracic disengages -> Poor pronation

Solution: Stabilize back leg + Engage thoracic spine -> Hold direction -> Stay stacked -> Allow natural, efficient pronation

NEXT STEPS

Hold the back leg longer — don’t rush out
Keep thoracic engaged to prevent leaking
Let stabilization create natural pronation

COACH'S NOTE
As we finished the session, our focus was a light bullpen and he was doing great there, but still just rushing out, leaking out a little bit. We started to engage thoracic spine and stabilize better on his back leg and this helped him pronate as he was throwing the baseball a lot better. Overall great session. Great to get Landyn back — great client, great kid.

We had John Back in the lab last night! John got up to 62mph exit Velo backside while finding more consistency in his barrels! Overall was a great session and we can’t wait to get back to work!

EVOLUTION TRAINING ASSESSMENTS - OFFICIAL SCOUTING REPORT

Player: Jhett
Date: 9/5/26
Location: Evolution Lab
Scout: ETA Staff
Session Type: Mechanics Focus - Stride & Hip Efficiency

OVERVIEW
Good baseball conversations today about his mechanics and what we're trying to achieve. Overall was an extremely good session and we can't wait to get him back out there.

MECHANICS BREAKDOWN

The Flaw:
Jhett was over-striding and landing in the bucket. When the stride gets too long, he gets stuck, his front side opens early, and his hips can't get through on time.

The Fix:
Today we focused on shortening his stride to ensure that he could get his hips through the ball quicker. As soon as we cleaned this movement up, everything else unlocked.

What We Saw Immediately:
For his age level, his hips rotate extremely fast and efficiently. Jhett has elite hip speed — we just needed to give his hips a chance to work.

As the foot changed:
Backside Unlocked: His backside was able to work through instead of getting stuck.
Thoracic Spine: His thoracic spine was able to rotate and be more elastic. Instead of being locked, he could coil and uncoil.
Aggression + Extension: All these things helped him swing the bat more aggressively and plant and get more extension. His upper body was able to land and drive the baseball more instead of drifting.

RESULTS / DATA

Ball Flight: 80, 90 foot line drives — true line drives on a line
Exit Velo: Upper 40s, topped out around 50 mph today
Profile: Much more repeatable after shortening stride

For Jhett's age and after cleaning up the bucket landing, that 80-90 ft line drive at 48-50 mph is exactly what we want to see.

BIOMECHANICAL SUMMARY

Root: Over-stride -> Bucket landing -> Hips blocked -> Thoracic locked

Solution: Shorten stride -> Stable front side -> Fast/efficient hip rotation -> Elastic thoracic -> Land, plant, extend and drive

Key Discovery: Hip rotation speed is plus for his age. When we stop blocking it with a long stride, it's a weapon.

NEXT STEPS

Maintain short, athletic stride — land closed, not long
Feel hips lead the swing, thoracic follows
Continue extension work to keep those 80-90 ft line drives

COACH'S NOTE
Shortening Jhett's stride was the key today. He was over-striding and landing in the bucket, which was blocking his plus hip speed. Once we cleaned up the foot, his thoracic spine became more elastic, he swung more aggressively, and was able to plant and get extension — driving 80-90 foot line drives at 48-50 mph. Extremely good session.

EVOLUTION TRAINING ASSESSMENTS - OFFICIAL SCOUTING REPORT

Player: Gatlin
Date: 9/5/26
Location: Evolution Lab
Scout: ETA Staff
Session Type: Post-Practice Mechanics Session - 30 Min

OVERVIEW
We had Gatlin back in the lab today and it was an amazing overall set. What I really liked about today's session was that he finished his two-hour practice and came in for a half-hour session after — and he was just really dialed in and focused on his mechanics. Overall, it was just a great session for Gatlin.

HITTING REPORT

Approach & Focus:
Gatlin wasn't trying to do too much. He wasn't focused on exit velocities or numbers — he was more focused on just doing the right things. He let the results come with it. That's maturity. After a long practice, most guys chase numbers or try to muscle balls. He stayed locked into mechanics.

Consistency / Data:
This was the basic and he was consistently right around 60 exit velo about every swing tonight. I mean, just every swing was 58, 59 miles per hour. Not one big number and then a drop — every swing was in the window. That tells you his movement pattern was repeating.

When you can repeat 58-59 after being fatigued from a 2-hour practice, that’s efficient mechanics, not effort.

Mechanics:
Simple, repeatable, on time. Not over-swinging, not jumping. Just doing the basics right and letting the barrel work.

INTANGIBLES - GRIT METER

Grit meter is the highest. For players I train, Gatlin is at the top. He’s able to bounce back quickly and formulate new ideas and more goals for himself after failure. That’s what separates him.

He doesn’t dwell — he adjusts, refocuses, and sets a new target. That bounce-back ability is elite and it’s why he continues to improve.

CHARACTER NOTE
I really like what Gatlin’s doing. I’m really proud of who he is and what he represents. He shows up tired, dialed in, does the work the right way, and doesn’t need the numbers to validate it. That’s a pro mindset at a young age.

NEXT STEPS

Continue this post-practice mindset — basics, mechanics over metrics.
Maintain that repeatable 58-59 mph window — consistency before chasing peak.
Keep building that grit response — fail, reset, set new goal quickly.

COACH'S NOTE
Amazing overall set. Loved that after a 2-hour practice he came in for 30 minutes and was completely dialed in on mechanics, not exit velos. Consistently 58, 59, 60 mph every swing — that’s repeatable. His grit meter is the highest of players I train. He bounces back quickly after failure and formulates new ideas and goals. Really proud of who he is and what he represents.
