I remember my first time trying shapes, they felt impossible, even with a beautiful sunset behind me 😂 This is your reminder that the people doing the cool stuff were once beginners too. The only reason these clips exist is because I decided to keep going through the awkward phase. You don’t need to be good to start, you just need to start 🫶🏽

Isn’t it crazy to think that all of this started because one day I decided I wanted to try calisthenics? Life really can be that simple sometimes. If there’s something you want to do, you have to be willing to try. There was no perfect time to start, no guarantee I’d be good at it, and definitely no shortcut to where I am now. I just kept showing up. I didn’t quit when it got hard. I didn’t quit when I failed. I didn’t quit when progress was slow. Every skill you’re seeing in this video once felt completely impossible to me, but impossible has a funny way of becoming possible when you give yourself enough time and enough chances. If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to start something, this is your sign. Just start 🙌

✨Save for later✨ Beginner-friendly upper body workout. Every exercise in this workout includes a regression because calisthenics isn’t about starting where someone else is, it’s about starting where YOU are. Regressions make an exercise easier so you can build strength and confidence. Progressions make it more challenging as you get stronger. The goal is to meet yourself at your current level and work your way up over time. And even after years of training, I still use regressions. They’re not just for beginners, they’re tools that help you practice form, build strength, and keep progressing. Start with what you can do today. The advanced stuff comes later 🙌

A legendary wedding in New York 🏀💍 My wedding was Saturday night and it turned into the best Knicks watch party ever. Absolutely electric, and yes, I’ll be sharing more pictures of the night later this week. Back in the gym today as well so regular posts will be resuming 😆
