On July 18, 2026 TPM attended a special event: The Chosun Taekwondo Academy Taekwondo History Night. The event was conducted by GM Doug Cook, head of the Chosun Taekwondo Academy and President of the USTA. The presentation took a dive into the past and present of Traditional Taekwondo. Whether new (beginner)) to Taekwondo, experienced or advanced practitioner there was new enriching information presented for all the event participants. The event was an education on the history and philosophy that composes the essence of Traditional (self-defense) Taekwondo. The event left all participants (practitioners) with a greater sense about Traditional Taekwondo, where it derives from and why we practice the art (though each person has their own reasons). After the history presentation was over participants indulged on snack and beverages. Thus while having conversations and building camaraderie. Thank you GM Cook and Patty Cook for having the event, along with the snacks, as well as to all the participants for making the event a huge success.
