The Richmond Blue Wave School was founded by Master Tara Rebele, who began her martial arts training as a young child. As a former competitive athlete in the Olympic sport of Taekwondo, Master Rebele has competed at numerous state qualifiers, opens, and invitationals, as well as at sanctioned national-level events, such as the U.S. Collegiate Nationals, where she was an Olympic sparring medalist. As an instructor, Master Rebele brings over 26 years of experience in the traditional art and Olympic sport of Taekwondo, and she enjoys working with students of all ages and abilities. Master Rebele previously founded and operated a Blue Wave Taekwondo School in Athens, GA, which offered traditional training for all ages and developmental programs for athletes and young children. After relocating to Richmond, she instructed for a local program, where she taught traditional Taekwondo at all levels, trained student athletes for competition, implemented her developmental program for younger children, led Masters’ clinics, offered children’s camps and activities, and contributed to the development and production of other special events, such as in-house tournaments and community fundraisers. Master Rebele is pleased to offer members of the local community a full training program in the Kukkiwon, Chung Do Kwan style of Taekwondo that she practices and teaches, and she looks forward to sharing her passion, knowledge, and experience with students of all ages in the new Richmond Blue Wave Taekwondo School.
