MAYFL - Midland Area Youth Football League

MAYFL - Midland Area Youth Football League Instructional football league for youth in Midland County, Michigan and surrounding communities.

> Games are played on Saturday mornings at the Dow High School in Midland, running September 10 through October 15.

> Practices begin the week of August 22.

> The 2022 conditioning camp is on August 8 and 9 from 6-8 pm.

> Fees: Tackle football is$120 per player; flag football is $80 per player. (Multi-player family discounts are available; see registration form for details.)

> Division placement is dependent a grade, not age or weight. However, in tackle divisions, weight limit restrictions apply for some player positions.

Parking will be limited on the next two Saturdays, September 19 and September 26, as Dow High School is hosting events that will take priority in the front parking lots.

We ask that all MAYFL attendees park in the rear parking lots and avoid parking in the areas near the pool and gym.

Please plan to arrive a few minutes early, as additional traffic and parking delays are likely. We are grateful to be able to use Dow High's facilities, and your cooperation helps ensure we remain welcome guests in the future.

Clarification on practices starting August 24:
• Practices times/dates/locations are set for each team by their coach. Not all teams will necessarily practice on Monday.
• Practices for tackle divisions are limited to 3 days a week.
• Kindergarten flag "learners" program has NO practices outside of Saturday morning sessions starting Sept 12. The first four weeks take a "learn to play" approach on-field with the actual games the final two weeks.

Reminder: Equipment handout (prep & junior tackle) is tonight and tomorrow, August 16 & 17, 7-9 pm at the MAYFL equipment shed on the southeast side of the Dow High athletic fields.

(Flag players will receive any necessary equipment from their coaches. Nouvel players will receive their equipment from their team and do not need to attend this session.)

🏈 Want to make a difference? Volunteer with MAYFL!

Midland Area Youth Football League is looking for additional volunteers to help us provide a great experience for hundreds of local athletes and families.

We're currently seeking help with:
✅ Equipment handout
✅ Field lining before the season and throughout the fall
✅ Game day support – especially clock/scoreboard operators
✅ General league operations
✅ Flag football coaches (limited openings may still be available)

You don't need football experience to help. Whether you can volunteer a few hours or commit to a larger role. Every helping hand makes a difference.

MAYFL is powered by volunteers, and our players, coaches and families depend on the support of our community.
