We were recently informed by Miami University that all athletic programs at the Middletown campus will be discontinued following the conclusion of the 2026–27 academic year. The Middletown campus itself will remain open as part of the Miami Polytechnic initiative. While the university did not provide a reason for the decision to discontinue athletics, we remain incredibly proud of the legacy built by generations of student-athletes, coaches, and supporters.

For decades, Miami University Middletown Athletics has represented the campus with pride and excellence. Among its many accomplishments, the Thunderhawks captured the Ohio Regional Campus Conference (ORCC) All-Sports Championship during the 1987–88 academic year and again earned the honor for an unprecedented **11 consecutive seasons** from **1994–95 through 2004–05**.

The baseball program has been an important part of that tradition. Miami Middletown Baseball won ORCC regular-season championships in **1994, 1995, 1996, and 1999**, while also capturing the **ORCC Tournament Championship** in each of those same seasons. Those championship teams helped establish a standard of excellence that has carried forward through every generation of Warriors and Thunderhawks. More recently, the Thunderhawks continued to build upon that proud history by earning a berth in the 2025 United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Small College World Series, demonstrating that the tradition of excellence established decades ago continues to inspire today's student-athletes.

As we prepare for this final season, we hope to celebrate the rich history of Miami University Middletown Baseball and the people who built it. We invite all former Warriors and Thunderhawks baseball players, coaches, alumni, and supporters to join us throughout the year as we honor the memories, accomplishments, and lifelong friendships that define this program.

If you know any former players or alumni, please encourage them to attend our games so we can recognize and celebrate their contributions to Miami University Middletown Baseball. Together, let's ensure this final season is a fitting tribute to a program with a proud and lasting legacy.
