Big day at Artisan today! Congrats to Coach Josh, Coach Tyler, & Coach Steph on their promotions. All three are a critical part of this team, constantly imparting knowledge, answering questions, and leading by example.
Hard work, persistence, and dedication pay off. Very proud day for those of us that have taken part in their growth and journey. Congratulations again!!

New Schedule starting 7/13!! New Kids No Gi classes will give our kids more opportunities to train and take advantage of the benefits both styles bring to their BJJ. Additionally, we hope that more people will take advantage of training 530-730 with both classes to get more learning in! Lastly, Friday nights advanced learning and problem solving will give you a chance to ask questions, deal with problems, and work to become a higher level grappler!!

https://secure.qgiv.com/event/wdfmemorialday2026/team/1034945 This Memorial Day, we invite you to come carry the weight with us.
On Saturday, May 30th, Artisan Submission Grappling and the We Defy Foundation will host the 2026 Memorial Day Ruck & Roll Fundraiser in support of combat veterans overcoming service-connected disabilities through Jiu-Jitsu, fitness, and community.
Our fundraising goal is $2,000 — enough to cover approximately 4/5 of an annual We Defy scholarship for a veteran athlete.
The event begins with a 3-mile memorial ruck along the Twin Creek Green Trail. Participants are encouraged to carry a weighted pack and may choose to wear the names or photos of fallen service members, friends, family, or teammates on their ruck. The purpose is simple: to physically symbolize carrying a small portion of the weight they carried for all of us.
Following the ruck, we’ll head back to Artisan Submission Grappling for an open mat open to all experience levels and affiliations. We’ll finish the day with a cookout at Sunset Park, weather permitting.
This event is about remembrance, resilience, and community.
A suggested donation of $25 is encouraged for participants, with all proceeds supporting the We Defy Foundation and helping veterans gain access to training, fitness, and a strong support network.
Whether you ruck, roll, donate, or simply show up in support, your presence helps fund life-changing opportunities for veterans finding healing and purpose through Jiu-Jitsu and fitness.

Great showing this past weekend at Fuji!
finishing the day strong going 5-0 with a 100% sub rate!
Several of our kids went out there and put it on the line as well. We won a lot of matches and lost as well, lessons learned in all.
We are incredibly proud of each and every one of our members that go make the decision to put it out there in front of everyone regardless of the outcome.
Now back to the training room to get better!
See everyone this week!
