She won’t stay little forever.

That’s really the heart behind this entire event.

We didn’t create the Magic City Father-Daughter Ball to make money. We simply wanted to provide an affordable evening where dads could put everything else aside for a few hours, get dressed up, have dinner, dance, take pictures, and make a memory with their daughters.

Because one day, the little girl holding your hand will be grown.

The schedules will get busier. The years will move faster than we want them to. And these opportunities won’t always be here.

So take her to the dance.

Dress up. Have dinner together. Dance even if you’re terrible at it. Take too many pictures. Let her know that, for one night, there’s nowhere else you’d rather be.

This morning, the hard work gets a little more tangible.

At 10:00 AM, many of our LMU vet students will take another step toward the careers they’ve worked so hard for as they receive their white coats.

We get to see a small piece of the work. The early mornings, late-night workouts, packed schedules, and the discipline it takes to keep showing up.

Today, we get to celebrate them.

Congratulations to all of our vet students receiving their white coats this morning. Your Magic City family is proud of you. And you will always be family!

Big shoutout to Magic City Fitness member Rachel Widmaier

She came to us wanting to learn how to clean, so we started where we should, with the basics.

PVC pipe. High hang position. Learning positions, timing, and movement before worrying about weight.

Now? A high hang squat clean that looks like this.

Good coaching isn’t about making things complicated. It’s about meeting someone where they are, building the right qualities, and earning the next progression.

Master the position. Own the movement. Then add the load.

Keeping Magic City clean goes beyond wiping down equipment.

We use laundry sanitizer when washing our towels and cleaning materials to help eliminate bacteria and germs that normal washing may leave behind.

It’s a small detail most people will never see, but that’s kind of the point.

The things that improve your experience don’t always happen where you can see them.

Just one more thing we do behind the scenes to make Magic City a cleaner, better place to train.

We know that “Dad” doesn’t look the same in every family.

Sometimes Dad is a stepdad who chose to step in. Sometimes he’s Papaw. Sometimes he’s an uncle, an older brother, a foster parent, or a family friend who simply decided that a little girl needed someone she could count on.

Fatherhood has a lot less to do with a title than it does with showing up.

So when we say the Magic City Father-Daughter Ball is a night for dads and their daughters, we want you to know exactly what we mean.

If you’re the man who shows up for her, encourages her, protects her, teaches her, listens to her and loves her…

this night is for you, too.

Bring her. Dress up. Dance with her. Take the pictures. Make the memory.

Because every little girl deserves to know that the man in her corner is proud to be there.

Big congratulations to Magic City member and LMU’s Director of Performance, Isaac Spainhour, on completing his first-ever HYROX!

It’s always awesome to see members of our community set a goal, put in the work, and go test themselves. Not only is Isaac taking care of his athletes, he’s crushing goals for himself as well!

Congrats, Isaac, on checking HYROX #1 off the list. We have a feeling it won’t be the last!
