Welcome to Garage Gym Kendall. We offer small, supervised, 20 minutes group training classes for everyone regardless of your current level of fitness.

The Garage Gym is a physical location, a gym in every sense of the word. We are not a “club”, a “health spa”, or a “boot camp”. There are no comfortable places to sit, no mirrors, no music, fancy machines, A/C or a clock. We don’t have a juice bar, spinning classes, cardio kick boxing, or body toning classes. The Garage Gym is not trendy, cool, or the “in” place to be seen at. We don’t foster comp

There's always time for some post deadlifting silliness.

265 # pull for an easy single at a bodyweight of 142 # , I'll take it. I haven't trap bar deadlifted in while and it felt really good. Bringing the deads back for this next training cycle.

Ape hanger wrist rollers. Grip strength is not just for dudes ladies. It’s not just about opening stubborn jars or holding heavier dumbbells. Grip strength is actually one of the strongest indicators of overall longevity and functional health for women!

Here’s why it matters:
✨ Full-Body Strength: Your lifts can only go as heavy as your grip can hold. Strong hands = stronger deadlifts, pulls, and core.
✨ Bone Density & Joint Health: Directly protects your wrists and forearms from strain and injury.
✨ Daily Independence: Carrying groceries in one trip, luggage, kids—without pain.
✨ Long-Term Vitality: Clinically linked to better cardiovascular health and lower risk of frailty as we age.

The Hopper Archetype

Undefined Targets: Lacks specific, measurable fitness goals, leading to aimless workouts and misplaced effort.

Trend Chasing: Constantly jumps to whatever routine, diet, or workout style is currently popular on social media.

•Dietary non-compliance: Never fully follows a nutritional plan; adheres for a short burst before lacking the commitment to see it through, quickly jumping to the next "ultimate diet."

Facility & Coach Hopping: Switches gyms, trainers, and classes every few weeks instead of building a foundation.

Premature Abandonment: Never sticks with a single program long enough for progressive overload or physiological adaptation to take effect.

Chronic Frustration: Puts in consistent energy but sees minimal results, resulting in burnout and confusion. Blames others for their shortcomings.

Don't be a hopper.

There is only one place to lead from: the front.

Anyone can shout instructions across a room. Anyone can count reps, read a clipboard, and copy-paste a generic workout template they found online.
That isn’t coaching. That’s just reading a script.
Real coaching isn't about paying lip service to the grind—it’s about living it every single day. The sweat on the floor, the discipline when motivation dies, and years under the iron.

You can’t teach what you don’t practice, and you can’t demand an effort you aren’t willing to put in yourself.
Experience is what bridges the gap between theory and reality. It’s what teaches you how an athlete actually moves, how fatigue sets in, and what it truly takes to push past a limit.
Don't tell people what to do. Show them what standard looks like.

Walk the walk. Live the lifestyle. Lead by example.

Cable Hulks

A cable fly variation that keeps continuous tension across the entire chest while locking in a deep contraction at the bottom.

What It Works

Primary: Pectoralis Major (sternal and mid-chest focus)

Secondary: Anterior Deltoids (front shoulders) & Serratus Anterior

Key Form Cues

Hinge at the hips with a flat back and a slight bend in the elbows.

Drive the handles down and across your midline, focusing on bringing your biceps together rather than just touching your hands.

Squeeze the pecs hard at peak contraction for 1–2 seconds.

Control the negative on the way back up to get a full, active stretch across the chest.

It's Monday and you know what body part is being trained today in every gym anywhere you go. For this 8 week meso cycle we followed the tradition. For the next 8 week meso cycle I'm turning everything upside down.

Children do not form their relationship with food, exercise, and rest through lectures; they build it by watching how adults treat their own bodies. When a household treats physical well-being as a daily norm rather than a chore or punishment, children adopt healthy habits as a natural baseline for life.

Movement as Joy, Not a Chore

If exercise is discussed only as a grueling obligation to "burn off calories" or lose weight, children learn to associate fitness with guilt and vanity. When they see parents heading out for a brisk walk to clear their heads, lifting weights to feel capable, or playing outside simply for the fun of it, they internalize exercise as functional self-care and vitality.

Your habits become their baseline. Make it a good one.
