My athletes follow a high low split

High days - sprints / jumps / weights
- these days are done on harder surfaces, maximizing the body’s speed potential and SSC

Low days - tempo runs, circuits, these are lower intensity higher volume
- do these days on softer surfaces because we’re looking for recovery/work capacity adaptions

Changing the surface depending on the day has made a HUGE impact on myself and my athletes injuries + results on the track

Feel free to comment any questions you have on this!👇🏼

For field athletes I also do a 5-10-5 but his groin was tight so we skipped it

The reason I time the first 10m and last 10m is to measure the velocity drop off

When we start training I will use that as a guide, now that I know his max speed and starting speed

In 10m segments where is he weakest? 20-30, 15-25? Etc.

That way we can truly attack on his weakness while building up everything else

Great first day for vasco! 1.61 on the 10 and 1.09 on the fly 💪🏼

Parents in the Miami area, if you have an athlete that needs to sprint faster or become more explosive. DM me for more details!

Full workout is on the last slide for you to save

I remember trying to improve my vertical jump 4 years ago

The moment I went for any form of jump I had a crazy sharp pain and could barely walk

Not anymore!! Today was my first day EVER personally using depth jumps in a training cycle

So excited to progress these over the next few weeks for my and my online training group ‼️

Let me save your 4 years of trial and error

I still remember the frustration and “feeling like a failure” because I would train SO HARD and see 0 improvement in my sprint speed

I never understood why, now I do

This was the hardest part, removing heavy strength training

Something I have done for so long

But I was willing to do anything to improve

Weekly exposures over the course of 6 months, a year, etc. is so much better then 2-3x one week, miss a week, 1 weeks, etc.

This was more for my mental health

I’ve always had the personality of “I need to do more” this was icing on the cake(but not really needed tbh)

If you need help sprinting faster, comment and question or struggle you’re currently having !

I will answer as detailed as possible

I remember the frustration, doubt, and fear I had around “I’ll never be faster” or “I’ll never accomplish X goal

I worked SO HARD and literally never saw results(check my tffrs)

It took me 4 years to understand why

Being “specific” a lot of times is not the answer

You don’t need to do this, but it helped me mentally

Comment below any questions or way I can help👇🏼

My goal is simple:

Help as many athletes as possible become the fastest, most explosive they’ve ever been
- whether your out of college and want to train like an athlete
- trying to make a varsity team
- or just want to be the best you can be

Learn from my mistakes

I will teach you everything I have learned in the past decade so you don’t have to waste time

If you made it to the last slide, comment “🙌🏼” so I can say what’s up!

8 Sprint Drills I Am Currently Doing to Sprint the FASTest I’ve ever been ‼️

Disclaimer: sprint drills do not make you faster, but they can help you prepare for actual sprint session, work certain feelings/positions/ and greater plyo volume

The exact progression I have my online group doing:
Week 1 - 20m each
Ankle run
Ankle pogo alt.
Every 3 L
Every 3 R
LLRR
RRLL
Continuous L
Continuous R

The goal is to suck the foot to the butt and accelerate it straight to the ground as fast as possible

I’ve felt so light and fast after this drill circuit, I am currently doing it Monday and Thursday before the sprint session

I’ve never been a big believe in 100 drills, find your favorites and master them
