The supplements. The protocols. The tracking. The morning routines. The breathwork. The detoxes.

At some point, the path to healing started looking a lot like the burnout that got you here.

You are allowed to do less. đź’«

So many people think regulation means never getting triggered, never feeling anxious, never having hard days, or never falling out of balance again.

But that is not how healing works.

Regulation is not perfection. It is the ability to come back to yourself after stress, after overwhelm, after fear, after disconnection. It is the body learning that it does not have to stay stuck in survival mode forever.

Healing is not measured by whether you never struggle again.

It is measured by how gently and safely you are able to return.

Anxiety is a symptom, not a personality trait.

It is often your nervous system asking for support. When the body has lived in fight or flight for too long, ordinary life can start to feel like something to brace against.

This matters for fertility because your nervous system, hormones, blood flow, and reproductive function are all in conversation with each other.

The goal is not to force yourself to be calm. It is to give your body repeated cues of safety so the alarm can begin to soften.

What if the missing piece in your healing is not something new, but something deeper?

In this episode, I sit down with Deanna Hansen, founder of and a true pioneer in fascia decompression.

Deanna shares how compression in the body, held breath, and stored trauma can quietly shape so much of what we feel: chronic pain, fatigue, hormonal imbalance, fertility struggles, and that sense of being stuck in your own body.

We talk about why diaphragmatic breathing changes everything, why the feet can hold so many clues to pelvic alignment and reproductive health, and how creating space in the fascia helps the body return to its natural state of flow.

This conversation is a beautiful reminder that the body is not broken. It is intelligent. It is speaking. And when we learn how to listen, healing becomes possible.

What if your low iron isn’t actually a deficiency?

In this week’s episode of The Wholesome Fertility Podcast, I’m joined by Women’s Wellness Coach Samantha Chandler for a conversation that may completely shift the way you think about iron, fatigue, and your body’s wisdom.

So many women trying to conceive are told they’re anemic, handed iron supplements, and sent on their way. But Samantha shares why iron in the blood doesn’t always reflect what’s happening in the body, why copper and vitamin A are essential for iron to actually move, and why the body is always working toward balance, not against us.

If you’ve ever felt confused about your bloodwork, your energy, or your cycle, this episode will leave you feeling clearer, more grounded, and more trusting of your body’s intelligence.

Most fertility conversations focus on hormones in isolation. But hormones do not exist in isolation. They live inside an environment, and that environment is shaped by inflammation.
When inflammation runs high in the background, every hormonal signal becomes harder to send and harder to receive. Cortisol stays elevated. Insulin resistance creeps in. Estrogen cannot clear efficiently. Ovulation becomes inconsistent. The follicular fluid that surrounds your eggs becomes less supportive. Even when conception happens, implantation can struggle in an inflamed uterine environment.
The good news is that chronic inflammation is not random. It is shaped by daily inputs: food, sleep, stress, gut health, and toxin exposure. Which means it is also deeply responsive to daily care.

In Chinese medicine, this has been understood for thousands of years as Heat, Damp, or Blood Stasis building in the body when Qi and Blood are not moving freely. The language is different. The truth is the same. Your body has always been asking for the same thing: nourishment, rest, regulation, and flow.

You do not have to overhaul everything to begin. One nourishing meal. One earlier bedtime. One walk outside. One breath that reaches your belly. Calm inflammation, restore communication, support fertility.

There are seasons where the most healing thing you can do is stop forcing clarity before it is ready to arrive.

Not every pause means you are falling behind. Sometimes the body pauses because it is overwhelmed. Sometimes the heart pauses because it needs space to process. Sometimes life slows you down because something deeper is trying to reorganize beneath the surface.

We are often taught to fear stillness because stillness can bring us closer to what we have been avoiding, feeling, or carrying.

But there is intelligence in allowing yourself to breathe before rushing into the next answer, the next decision, or the next attempt to control the outcome.

The nervous system heals in spaces where it no longer feels chased.

You can have a “perfect” looking cycle and still not ovulate.

A regular period can feel reassuring, but bleeding alone does not confirm ovulation happened. Ovulation is what creates the possibility for conception. The period is simply what comes after.

This is why it helps to look beyond timing alone. LH strips, cervical mucus, basal body temperature, luteal phase length, and period quality all tell a deeper story about what happened earlier in the cycle.

For tomorrow’s episode of The Wholesome Fertility Podcast, Michelle is joined by Women’s Wellness Coach Samantha Chandler for a powerful conversation on iron, whole food nutrition, and the body’s incredible wisdom.
Samantha shares why the body needs “symphony, not cherry-picking” and how nutrients work together in whole foods in a way the body can recognize, absorb, and use.
In this episode, we explore why iron is not always as simple as taking more supplements, how copper and vitamin A help regulate iron movement, and why symptoms like fatigue, heavy periods, hair changes, and low ferritin may be pointing to a deeper conversation happening in the body.
This episode is a beautiful reminder that your body is not broken. It is always communicating, always adapting, and always working toward balance.

Tune in tomorrow.
