It is with the heaviest of hearts that we race with today after the world has lost an amazing man - our friend and primary sponsor Mark Langenfelder.✝️
Mark was an amazing person who took a chance on 9 year old kid racing karts and was the main driving force behind our most recent transition into the dirt late model world, and man was he excited to receive that first video from our test session. He loved watching kids get a chance to do what they loved - we recently spoke on the phone about his grandchildren and his excitement level was through the roof telling me about their most recent achievements.
Please pray for the entire Langenfelder family as they endure some of the hardest days of their lives and know that we're racing today with a very heavy, but also very full heart because of him. ⬛🏁🏁⬛

I stood face to face with my SMOKESHOW bride, trying to recite our vows without getting choked up...
19 years later, not much has changed. She's still a SMOKESHOW, still makes my heart skip a few beats when she walks in the room, I still blubber around at weddings, and I'm still married to my absolute best friend in the world. (I know, I thought she'd have figured it out by now too 🤷🏽‍♂️)
There are many things that have changed over the last nearly two decades - they are all blessings I cherish deeply and wouldn't trade a single day or single memory of for anything in this world....except for the next 19yrs with her 😘
Happy 19th anniversary Kelli Smith - I love you - forever and a day. 💕

🚨⚠️💥 News Announcement 💥⚠️🚨

We're super excited to release the next phase of TurBo Smith Racing - We will be winding down our kart racing operation but will continue our passion of chasing checkered flags🏁 in our Rocket Chassis XR1 crate late model!!
This amazing opportunity has been in the works for a few months and wouldn't have been possible without a LOT of help from our awesome friends and family. (Thank you all so much!)
Today we spent Father's Day making this opportunity become a reality as TurBo strapped in to the new #44 for the first time and had a great test session at Roaring K**b Speedway. We are definitely looking forward to this next adventure, we're overly blessed to have so many outstanding people supporting us in so many ways, with so much to be thankful for. Here's to the next one 🥂, hope to see you all at the track soon! 🤙🏽🏁

If there's one thing that will turn the pressure valve up on any race team is coming back to your hometown track to race in front of and with your friends and family... Fortunately for us, TurBo was able to use those nerves and deliver this awesome group of people a trip to the stage! 🏁🏁 (Note: we were even missing some key people that were here, just missed the photo)

What is the best way to celebrate a Saturday night feature win??
That's easy! Load up and drive 5 hours across the state to do it all again Sunday morning.

Saturday we made the trip to Powerline Speedway to race The Michael Duritsky Jr. Memorial for round #1 of the Western Pennsylvania Karting Series.
Started P2 and finished P1 🏁

Sunday we landed at Shellhammers Speedway for the final round of the PA State Championship Series where we brought the JR Champ Championship back to Meyersdale.

So many people to thank that help in so many ways keep our wheels rolling every single week.

We wanted to thank the WPKA group, their staff, officials, and workers for putting on one heck of a show. We were proud to win that one for Michael Duritsky Jr and his family as we all continue to pray for their loss.
If you weren't able to attend this one, mark the date next year - that was one of the coolest shows we've ever attended with good racing, live music, food trucks, Dirt.TV covering the race, etc..
Also wanted to thank the staff and people behind the scenes at the Burris Money Series - This was their 20th and final year running the series and that's a huge milestone in this industry and we wanted to personally thank them for it.
