🔥 These ladies came to PLAY today! 🔥

What a fantastic day teaching MSTR® McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release with Kristiansen
and Hollis

These two jumped right in, asked great questions, practiced, explored, and really started to feel what this technique can do.

And let me tell you… what I saw today blew my mind. 🤯

I cannot WAIT to see what Bethany and Brandi do with MSTR® once they get a little more time and experience under their belts. If today was any indication, they are just getting started. 💙

Please help me welcome Bethany and Brandi to the MSTR® family! 🎉👏

Keep practicing, ladies. Stay curious. And go do some amazing things with those hands! 😁

Every assessment has a purpose.
But every client has a reason.

As healthcare professionals, we’re trained to measure.

📐 Range of motion.
💪 Muscle strength.
⚖️ Balance.
🚶 Gait.
😊 Pain.

Those measurements matter. They guide treatment, document progress, and help us make better clinical decisions.

But after more than 30 years of working with clients, I’ve learned something important…

No one has ever walked into my studio hoping for another 20° of shoulder flexion.

They come because they want their life back.

They want to hug their spouse without thinking about pain.

They want to pick up a grandchild.

They want to spend an afternoon in the garden.

They want to travel with confidence.

They want to dance at a wedding.

They want to play pickleball again.

They want to sleep through the night.

Those are the moments that matter.

As clinicians, we have the privilege of measuring progress.

Our clients get to experience the possibilities.

❤️ Every assessment has a purpose. Every client has a reason.

💬 Practitioners: What’s one client moment you’ll never forget? I’d love to hear your story in the comments.

Still foam rolling the same IT band?

Still stretching the QL?

Still chasing the same patterns week after week?

Sometimes the tension isn't the problem. It's the body's adaptation to something else.

Join Waugh and George for a 3-day Art of Bodywork® intensive where you'll learn practical assessment and treatment techniques for common structural and movement patterns, including:

• Rotated ilium
• Chronic QL tightness
• IT band restrictions
• Piriformis dysfunction
• Thoracic mobility limitations
• Respiration mechanics
• Foot pronation
• Scoliosis patterns
…and much more.

This course is approximately 95% hands-on, giving you the opportunity to learn, practice, test, and apply techniques immediately.

Some practitioners spend years chasing symptoms.
Rolling the IT band.
Stretching the QL.
Adjusting posture.
Cueing movement.
…and still wondering why the restriction keeps coming back like a raccoon raiding the same trash can at 2am. 🦝
What if the issue isn’t where the pain is showing up?
At our 3-day Art of Bodywork® workshop this October in Mesa, AZ, we teach assessment and release techniques designed to help you think differently about compensation patterns, structural tension, movement restrictions, and chronic holding patterns.
This is not a lecture-heavy weekend.
It’s hands-on. Practical. Clinical.
You’ll learn how to:
✨ Assess more effectively
✨ Test and re-test your work
✨ Recognize compensation patterns
✨ Apply techniques immediately in practice
✨ Stop “forever rolling” tissues that may need a completely different approach

You already know scars can change the body.

MSTR® Level 2 is where we begin exploring how deeply those adaptations can organize movement, tension patterns, breath mechanics, guarding, compensation, and neurological response.
This course is designed for certified MSTR® practitioners ready to refine:
• assessment skills
• tissue listening
• glide specificity
• complex scar applications
• abdominal and post-surgical work
• adhesions and deeper restrictions
• advanced integration strategies
Less protocol memorization.
More clinical reasoning.
More nuance.
More precision.
Honestly, Level 2 changes the way many practitioners see the body.
And once you see it… you can’t unsee it.

05/28/2026

Scars change more than just skin.

They can influence posture, movement patterns, breath mechanics, proprioception, tension, balance, and sometimes symptoms clients have been chasing for years without connecting the dots.

That’s one reason we continue teaching MSTR® to practitioners across the U.S. and internationally.

Once you begin recognizing how the body adapts around restriction, you start seeing compensation patterns everywhere.

And honestly… it changes assessment forever.

If you’ve ever looked at a client and thought:
“There’s something deeper driving this pattern…”

…you’re probably already asking the right questions.

Scars are rarely “just skin deep.”

Every week I work with clients who have spent years chasing pain, tension, mobility issues, breathing restrictions, or movement compensations… never realizing an old scar or adhesion may still be influencing the system.

That’s why I continue teaching MSTR® to practitioners around the world. 🌍

These LIVE ONLINE trainings are designed to help practitioners better understand how scar tissue can affect:
🧠 the nervous system
🫁 breathing mechanics
🚶 movement patterns
⚖️ balance & coordination
🧍 posture & compensation strategies
