Indoor and outdoor pickleball balls are NOT interchangeable and using the wrong one can mess with your whole game!

💥 Outdoor Balls: Built for the Elements

Design: Harder, heavier, with 40 smaller holes.

Purpose: Engineered to cut through wind and withstand rough asphalt or concrete.

The Feel: Faster pace, harder pop off the paddle.



🏠Indoor Balls: Crafted for Control

Design: Lighter, softer, with 26 larger holes.

The Feel: Slower speed, higher control, and a predictable bounce.

Pro Tip: Bring an outdoor ball to a wooden gym floor, and it’ll fly off your paddle like a rocket. Take an indoor ball outside, and the wind will turn your serve into a guessing game!

It's basically what happens when tennis, ping pong, and badminton have a baby and played on a badminton-sized court with solid paddles and a plastic ball full of holes.

Three rules to know before you step on: serve underhand and diagonally, follow the two-bounce rule (ball bounces once on each side before anyone volleys), and after that you can volley EXCEPT in the kitchen and that's the 7-foot no-volley zone on each side of the net.

Scoring only counts for the serving side, games go to 11 (win by 2), and in doubles you'll hear three numbers called: your score, their score, server number.

As for gear? Carbon fiber or Kevlar paddle, outdoor (hard) or indoor (soft) balls depending on where you play, and real court shoes and not running shoes. This is why pickleball is America's fastest growing sport: it's this easy to learn.

Beginner or advanced, coach or weekend warrior, everybody taps paddles.

It's basically the sport's version of a handshake, and honestly? We wouldn't have it any other way.
