We had 6 students at the WTSDA Region 2 Black Belt Pretest today. This spot check by the regional masters is the last step before they are eligible for the final physical test Oct 9th.
They have already passed a physical evaluation at the studio, written their essays, and passed their written exams.

Our 1st Gup Red Belts took their final Gup test and earned Cho Dan Bo (Black Belt Candidate) rank. This is a difficult test where they spend 3ish hours being tested and asked to demonstrate all their forms, techniques, one steps, self defense, rolls, falls, sparring and more. Passing this test is the same requirement for any age student and we had three younger kids complete this step. We are so proud of them!

Both our Adult & Teen Classes tested together this Saturday. Having such a wide range in age of students is a perfect example of how martial arts is for everyone! Congratulations!

We had a few of our Kids Class junior students test on Saturday for their next rank. Small test yet big achievements made. These kids are on their way and consistently improving themselves! Congratulations!

Our Tiny Tigers and Little Dragons tested on Saturday and did phenomenal. Always so much fun to see these little ones show their skills. Plus we had some amazing Black Belts and Blue Belts step up to help!

Our August 2026 Belt Testing Cycle!
A smaller testing cycle with all the summer activities and school year beginning. But, we had so much fun and these students put in the work!
Special congratulations to our 4 new Cho Dan Bo students. They are now at the final step of preparing for their Black Belt testing process.
We also had our biggest Tiny Tiger & Little Dragon test!
Thank you so much to our Black Belts and CDBs who stepped up to proctor and help proctor the tests. Especially Ms. Torrey who was the Lead Proctor for most of them.
